"So Banner's still gone, huh?" Adam asked "Yeah. We tried calling for him this morning and nothing" Jaden stated, Adam sighed ("What's happened? He's been gone for days") he thought "Let's just get the day started, it's not like we have any leads" he said "I guess" Jaden replied. Class started and still no sign of Banner, Jaden groaned "It'll be okay, Jaden" Syrus stated "Yeah, Chancellor Shepard's got a whole crew of people looking for Professor Banner. They'll find him" Chumley said "It's just a matter of time" Syrus stated "I hope" Jaden replied "It's gonna be an experience going along without him" Adam stated, when the classroom door opened, revealing Crowler.
"Good morning students. Guess what? Due to Professor Banner's absence, I will be subbing in his place for the day. Aren't you lucky? Because I'm certainly not, it was supposed to be my day off!"Crowler explained "Well, I didn't specify it'd be a good experience" Adam stated. An image appreared on a projector and Crowler opened a book "Let's see here, the mark of Amnael. Yes it looks like that's where Professor Banner left off, more duel alchemy nonsense, I'm sure" Crowler stated, he continued to scroll through the book, growing more and more irritated "What gibberish! This makes no sense! And he's acting you it?! Well perhaps it's a good thing he's missing" Crolwer said, he stopped at a sudden wave of heat filling the room "Now some of us might not completely comprehend what Banner teaches, but that doesn't give you the right to bad mouth him. He's still a person, gone or not, so watch your tongue!" Adam snapped, everyone in the room fell silent "Adam..." Alexis said, placing a hand on his shoulder, Adam calmed down "Sorry, please continue, Crowler" Adam said "I-I will, thank you. Now let's-" Crowler stopped suddenly "Hold that though, Chancellor Sheppard wants to see Jaden and his friends. Adam, bring your son and Camula too, report to him at once" Crowler stated.
The group gathered is Shepard's office "What do you mean he's still lost? Professor Banner couldn't have just vanished into this air, could he?" Jaden asked "Who knows? The bottom line is we've looked everywhere for him and we still can't find him" Shepard stated "And there's log of him leaving the island" Crowler said "So I think we all know what happened, Banner got sucked into the shadows" Chazz said "Don't say that" Alexis replied "There's no evidence or anything?" Adam asked "I'm afraid not. And the shadows are out of question too, if he lost a Shadow Game, a spirit gate would have opened, and there's been no new activity" Shepard stated "But I still have a feeling the Shadow Riders have something to do with it" Jaden said "How?" Zed asked "That's what we gotta find out" Jaden stated.
Adam flew around the academy looking for Banner, scoping through anything he could, but still came across nothing, Adam looked over at the Slifer dorm and saw Jaden, Syrus, Chazz and Chumely standing outside, he turned and landed in front of them "Adam, you found anything?" Jaden asked "Nothing, what about you all?" Adam asked "Actually yeah. We found a map of the island, and spot had the mark of Amnael on it., so that's where we're headed" Jaden stated "Good luck then. I'll get Zed, Alexis and Camula, we'll regroup then" Adam stated, taking flight.
As Adam returned to the Obelisk dorm, he found Zed and Camula running into the woods, he dove down and flew alongside them "What happened?" Adam asked "I saw mom run off into the forest, it looked like she was chasing someone" Zed explained "She could be in danger. We need to find her" Camula stated, Adam grit his teeth "Look you two, Jaden found a clue on where Banner could be, but that'll have to wait until after we find Alexis. So lead the way" he said, as the three continued into the forest.
The three continued into a forest until they saw two people in a duel, Alexis and a figure in a cloak and mask "Mom!" Zed shouted, Alexis turned to them "Adam, Zed, Camula" she said, when meteors started to rain from the sky and crash all over the field, melting away Alexis' Cyber Blader "Alexis!" Adam shouted, when the noticed two monsters shrowded in darkness blast Alexis with beams, reducing her life points to zero and causing her to pass out, a wave of dread washed over the group as Alexis' spirit key vanished and the figure opened a boom that glowed green before Alexis vanished, Adam's eyes widened, his fists tightened, his teeth ground and his eyes glowed bright, he sprouted his wings and was bathed in a fiery aura "GIVE HER BACK!!!" He screamed, flying at the figure, a fireball in hand, the figure jumped out of Adam's way, casing him to snap a tree into turning halves, Adam turned and saw that the figure wa shone without a trace, Adam let out a demonic roar of rage, before falling to his knees, tears streaming down his face as his eyes returned to normal, Zed and Camula walked up to him "Dad..." Zed said, Adam walked up and looked at Alexis' deck scattered across the ground, he picked them up and sorted the cards "I don't know who that was, but they're gonna pay dearly" he stated.
