Adam's distorted laugh rang through the air "Red-Eyed Demon? What are you talking about?" Jaden asked "The demon is an entity that is said to be the only one of it's kind because of it's sheer power, and you're look right at it" the Chief said "Enough with the words, we're dueling!" Adam yelled, drawing his card "First, I activate Red-Eyes Insight and send Red-Eyes Meteor Dragon from my deck to the grave to add a spell or trap that lists Red-Eyes, and I add Red-Eyes Fusion to my hand, next I activate One for One, sending Gearfried from my hand ti the grave to add a level one monster to my hand, and that monster is the black stone of legend, which I then summon and tribute to special summon Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" He yelled.
Fire surrounded the stone pillar Adam stood on, as the black dragon flew out of the blaze and roared "Next I set a card, and I wanna enjoy the taste of your fear, so I'll let you have a few more turns, depending in whether or not you piss me off enough" Adam stated, the Chief gritted his teeth "Fine then, I set a card, and end my turn" the Chief stated, Adam grinned "The taste of your fear grows bland, growing some balls, are you? Doesn't matter!" Adam yelled, drawing his card "I set another card" Adam stated, the Chief drew his card and smiled "I have you now, demon! I sacrifice Grave Keeper's Curse to summon myself!" The Chief shouted.
Adam widened his eyes "Not only do I gain 500 attack, but once Im on the field, my graveyard is not effected by Necrovalley, so I can use effects of monsters laid there, and I can summon a Grave Keeper from the graveyard" the Chief said "Take your pick" Adam hissed "Grave Keeper's Spear Soldier, rise!" The Chief said, the soldier appeared and it's attack rose to 2000 "Now I activate the trap, Rite of Spirit, letting me bring another Grave Keeper back, and I choose Grave Keeper's Curse! And his effect deals 500 damage to you!" The Chief yelled, Adam stood still as his life points fell to 500 "Behold the power of the Shadow Game!" The Chief shouted.
"Shadow Game..?" Adam asked "Yes and it's almost over, for you, your life points, and friends!" The Chief shouted, Adam started to laugh again "I knew there was some truth behind that stupid title" he said, the Chief looked confused "You cant attack, so if you're done, I draw" Adam stated, he smiled "I activate Inferno Fire Blast, since Red-Eyes Black Dragon is on the field, I can deal you 2400 damage, but I'll let my dragon sit tight and do it for him!" Adam shouted, a fireball formed in his hand that was launched at the Chief, dropping his life points to 100, Adam licked his lips "Better, your fear has some flavor to it again, does being on the brink of your end scare you?" Adam taunted.
The Chief tightened his fist "Silence, your presence causes chaos, demon! I will end your reign right here!" He yelled, Adam grinned "I believe it's time I end this, but I'll be nice, I wont even attack you" Adam said, the Chief smiled "And just how do you plan to do that?" He asked "With the spell, Red-Eyes Fusion!" Adam shouted "No!" The Chief yelled "Yea, I send the Red-Eyes on the field and Meteor Dragon Red-Eyes Impact to the grave and special summon a good friend of mine, Meteor Black Comet Dragon!" Adam yelled as a meteor fell from the sky and formed into a dragon "And with his effect, I can send a Red-Eyes monster from my deck to the grave and deal you half it's attack as damage, and I choose Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon, this duel is over!" Adam yelled as the comet dragon blasted the chief with a fireball, reducing his life points to zero.
Adam's eyes changed back to the usual green, the stone's fell and the everything returned to the tomb "Chief!" A voice shouted, the grave keepers ran to their Chief "Is he okay?" Jaden asked "He's fine" Adam said "You...I should have known, you are too powerful" the Chief stated "Yeah, you should have figure that out, dumbass" Adam snapped, the grave keeper's looked ashamed "Whatever, just let them go" Adam ordered "Yes, but first, take this" the Chief said, holding up a medallion, Adam walked over and grabbed it "It's broken" Adam said "Only one other person has passed this trial, they have the other half" the Chief explained, before he and the assailant turned and released Syrus, Chumley, Alexis and Banner.
The group stood by the stairs "So uh, how do we get home?" Jaden asked "Go to the gate, when the three lights combine, you mag find your way back" the Chief said "Okay.." Jaden replied, when a sudden army of grave keepers walked up, pointing their spears at Adam "Now what?" Adam hissed "Stop! He passed the trial, he has payed for his misdeeds" the Chief stated "He will be punished by you or us" the keepers said, Adam felt a sudden pulse in his chest and he whistled, seconds later a Red-Eyes Black Dragon landed and roared at the army, forcing them to submit "Woah" Jaden said "I didn't know you could do that" Syrus said "Neither did I" Adam said, the dragon looked at him and nodded before flying away.
"Let's get the hell outta here" Adam said "Before you go, give a message to the bearer of the other half, Yasmin is still in the other world, but she's waiting for him" the assailant said "Man, huh? Fine, I'll send your message" Adam said, Winged Kuriboh appeared and signaled the group to follow it "He want's us to follow" Jaden said, running after the Kuriboh "Let's go" Adam said, following Jaden, followed by the others.
The group ran for the gate as the lights in the sky started to collide, but Chumley tripped and fell "Chumley, are you okay?" Jaden asked "Tricycle injury, just go on without me, you don't have time to wait" Chumley said "Fine by me" Adam stated "Adam!" Alexis yelled "Fine, dammit" Adam replied, he was about to whistle for the Red-Eyes but a Koala formed and put Chumley on it's back, it carried Chumley to the gate, the lights combined and green light burst from the ground, blinding the group.
Jaden woke up, and looked to the ground, he picked up his Winged Kuriboh card "Must have been a hallucination" he said, he turned and saw that Adam and Alexis were missing "Oh no, did they make it? Adam! Alexis!" Jaden called out, he ran through the forest looking for his friends when he stopped and saw the two he was looking for leaning on a tree, sharing a celebratory kiss "Oh, looks like I was worried for nothing, Im just gonna go" Jaden said, sneaking away.
