Adam looked at his new cards the figure gave him "What kind of card is this? It's clearly a Red-Eyes card but I've never seen a black card like this" he said, Adam made room in his extra deck for all three cards and sighed "More importantly, who was that person, and how did they know I used Red-Eyes?" Adam whispered, he got up and put his coat on "Whatever, Jaden and Syrus have their tag team duel today, I gotta see if they stand a chance" Adam stated.
Adam sat in the stands with Bastion "There you are, Adam" he said "Sup, Bastion" Adam replied "Do you think Jaden and Syrus stand a chance?" Bastion asked "They better, Zane may have gotten to him first, but Im gonna beat Jaden myself" Adam said "I figured you would show up" a voice said, Adam and Bastion turned and saw Alexis sit down "Hey Alexis" Adam said "Hey" the blonde girl looked over "You're Bastion Misawa, right? Jaden's friend" Alexis said "I guess you could say that, and you're Alexis Rhodes, yes?" Bastion replied "Yeah, Im also the reason for this duel in the first place, they were helping me at that abandoned dorm" Alexis stated "Abandoned what?" Adam asked "I'll explain some other time, but right now, Jaden and Syrus are the ones that need help" Alexis stated.
"What do you mean?" Adam asked "Crowler arranged professionals to duel them" Alexis replied "Damn...so they're gonna have to bring their games up" Adam hissed "Send in the accused, Syrus Trusdale and Jaden Yuki!" Someone said over an intercom, Jaden looked over and waved "Hey Adam, you think we got this?!" He asked "Just don't get your asses handed to you again!" Adam shouted back "Im never gonna be able to keep up with how vulgar you are" Bastion said "Im with Bastion" Alexis said, Adam shrugged "If you cant stand the heat, don't play with dragons" he replied.
Crowler help up his hand "Now without any more delay, allow me to introduce our guest tag team duel!" He yelled, when two twins backflipped into the arena "The Paradox Brothers!" Crowler announced "Salutations you fools" Para said "Hope you're ready to duel" Dox continued. Jaden and Syrus looked in confusion "Ive studied these two, they're dueling mercenaries, and the best tag duelists in the world, this is no where near fair" Alexis stated "I think that was Crowler's intention, I put Jaden's odds at winning at 1/15" Bastion said "Don't ruin this with math" Adam replied.
The duelists drew their hands and prepared themselves "Alright, it's game time" Adam hissed "Alright, I summon Gyroid in attack mode" Syrus stated "Are you joking, im surprised that thing has an attack mode, but on the other hand, Jurai Gumo!" Para said, summoning the spider like monster "My deck can squash that overgrown bug" Jaden replied "Elemental HERO Burstinatrix, defense mode!" he shouted, summoning the monster "You fool, the best defense is a good offense, Kaiser Seahorse, attack mode!" Dox shouted.
"I play a spell card from my hand, Tribute Doll, to activate it, I must sacrifice a monster from our field, luckily my brother is so generous" Dox stated, the brothers nodded as the Tribute Doll destroyed Jurai Gumo "Now I can summon a level seven monster, and I choose Kazejin!" Dox shouted, as wind kicked up and the monster formed "The hell is that?" Adam asked "He sacrificed his brother's monster for a better one, now that's tag dueling" Bastion said "Would you not sound so impressed?" Alexis replied.
"Do you actually think you know this game?" Para asked "You're losers, jokes, in other words, you're lame" Dox continued, Adam gagged "These guys are so cringey" he shuddered "And if they think this is grueling..." Para started "Wait till I draw and give them a true schooling!" Dox finished. Dox drew a card "I play Dark Designator, this spell card allows me to call any monster, and if it's in my brother's deck, it's added to my hand!" Dox explained, Syrus gasped "Let's see, Sanga of the Thunder!" Dox shouted, Para chuckled "How did you know, it's right here to tear them asunder" he said, drawing the card "The duel has started" Para started "And yet it's almost done" Dox continued "For your demise has already begun!" The brothers finished.
"Don't worry, Sy, they're just saying that because it's an easy rhyme" Jaden said, Syrus took a breath and looked at his brother "All aboard, I summon Steamroid in attack mode!" Syrus shouted, the train-like monster formed "And now I play Polymerization, fusing my Steamroid and Gyroid into the ultimate engine that could, Steam Gyroid!" Syrus stated as the monsters combined "See, you two made a mistake, sacrificing Jurai Gumo left your brother wide open, Steam Gyroid, attack Para!" Syrus ordered, Para smiled "Brother..." he said "It would be my pleasure, Kazejin, defend!" Dox ordered, the green monster blocked Steam Gyroid's attack with wind "Our monster's special ability, do you like?" Dox asked "It brings your monster's attack to zero without a fight" Para stated.
Syrus looked down "It's fine Sy, no big deal" Jaden said "Yeah right" Syrus replied "Im serious, just keep going" Jaden said, giving a thumbs up, Syrus nodded "Alright, I set a card facedown and end my turn" he said. "Now it's my turn, and I play Monster Reborn to bring back Jurai Gumo, and next I play Tribute Doll!" Para stated "Not again!" Syrus yelled "Yea again, and again I sacrifice Jurai to summon Suijin!" Para said as the blue monster appeared "Legs?" Adam asked "Can I borrow a monster, brother?" Para asked "Please, that's why he's there" Dox answered "I sacrifice Kaiser Seahorse" Para stated "If you don't know, when summons a Light monster, Kaiser Seahorse counts as two sacrifices, letring me summon Sanga of the Thunder!" Dox explained as the electric monster appeared "Wait a damn minute, Kazejin...Suijin...Sanga..." Adam whispered, his eyes widened "Oh crap" he said "What's wrong?" Alexis asked "I recognize those monsters" Adam replied
"Three monsters on our side, what could be better?" Para asked "I know, when they come together!" Dox replied "Prepare yourself, I sacrifice Kazejin, Suijin, and Sanga of the Thunder to summon the ultimate monster, Gate Guardian!" Para shouted as the huge monster formed on the field, Adam tightened his fists "Gate Guardian?" Syrus asked "It's ginormous" Jaden said "Just wait until you see his attack! Destroy Steam Gyroid, Tidal Surge attack!" Para yelled, the monster blasted Steam Gyroid with powerful electrified water, destroying the monster and dropping Syrus and Jaden's life points to 6450 "This isn't a duel, it target practice and Sy's the bullseye" Bastion stated "He's just made some bad moves, he'll turn it around" Alexis replied "I want to agree with you, but with a monster like Gate Guardian out, there's no such thing as a guarantee..." Adam hissed.
"I know it hurts" Para said "And the worst part is it only gets worse" Dox finished "If it's as bad as this rhyming, we're in trouble" Syrus said, Jaden smirked "The bigger they are, the harder they fall, so let's take that thing down" Jaden said "I'd like to see you try, so I'll set a facedown card" Para said, Jaden grinned "First I summon Elemental HERO Clayman, then I play Polymerization to fuse him with Burstinatrix to summon Elemental HERO Rampart Blaster. He's bad!" Jaden yelled as the monster formed "He's bad, but the Gate Guardian's worse, it's much stronger" Syrus stated "Don't worry, when in defense mode, Rampart Blaster can attack directly" Jaden replied "Our life points!" The brothers shouted "Now attack them, Rampart Barrage" Jaden said, the Paradox Brothers were blasted with rockets, dropping their life points to 7000 "It's only half the points you'd normally lose, but it's an effect, what're you gonna do?" Jaden asked.
Dox drew a card "My turn, I activate Fairy Meteor Crush, now when Gate Guardian attacks a monster in defense mode, it does piercing damage to your life points" Dox explained "Not so fast, I activate Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Fairy Meteor Crush!" Syrus shouted "Right into my trap, Judgement of Anubis, letting me negate your spell by discarding a card, your typhoon is now just a breeze" Para stated, disbursing the typhoon "But wait, that's not all, Anubis destroys one if your creatures" Para said "And it's attack points are deal as damage as an extra feature" Dox finished, Rampart Blaster was destroyed and Jaden and Syrus' life points were cut to 4450 "Now I summon Defense Wall, and now that he's in defense mode, your monsters can only attack him!" Dox stated.
"This isn't looking good" Adam said "Seriously, Jaden and Syrus have a terrible life point disadvantage" Bastion replied "Damn those brothers, I wish I could go down there and duel them myself..." Adam hissed "All we can do now is hope they make the right move" Alexis stated. Syrus drew a card "I summon Cycroid in defense mode" he said "You summon a bike, well it's in for a flat, Gate Guardian Tidal Surge Attack!" Para shouted, the guardian blasted Syrus' monster away "Don't forget the equip card, the different between Gate Guardian's attack and your monster's defense are dealt as damage" Para stated, the gaurdian then blasted Syrus with it's attack, dropping his and Jaden's life points to 1700 "Dammit..." Adam growled "Your life points are falling" Para said "Your gameplay is appalling" Dox continued "Just give and start bawling!" The brothers finished "Jaden Yuki, it is your turn, make a move or you will be disqualified" an announcer stated.
