Adam punched at his wall in a fit of rage "Damn bitch Alexis, who the hell does she think she is, comparing me to Chazz-hole, I should challenge her to a duel and blast her stupid blonde haired ass to pieces!" he growled, Adam sat on his bed and huffed "She cant tell me how to duel, mercy isn't an option, it's win or lose" Adam hissed, when he noticed his room getting considerably hotter, he started to sweat and he took of his Obelisk Blue coat "Holy damn...why is it so hot?" He asked, he turned on his AC, once he calmed down the room cooled back down "Must have been my imagination" he said, putting his coat back on and leaving his room.
Adam ran into Jaden, which naturally spawned an interaction "Hey Adam, how're you doing?" Jaden asked "I could be better, Al-less than desirable-is Rhodes' got me pissed, how about you?" Adam replied "Well after you dueled Syrus, Alexis told me about his brother, Zane, and Im gonna duel his to get him some confidence" Jaden said "Really? Good luck with that" Adam said "Hey, you should come and watch" Jaden stated "You know what, sure, watching a duel will help me blow off steam" Adam replied "Great, I'll let you know details after I get a request out" Jaden said, running off.
A few hours later
A buzz went off in Adam's pocket, he grabbed his phone and saw a message from Jaden, along with his location "About time" Adam said, grabbing his deck and running to watch the duel "This oughta be fun" he said. Adam showed up and saw Jaden, Syrus, Chumley, Alexis and a tall Blue with dark hair "Hey Adam, you made it" Jaden said "Hell yeah, I'm assuming that one over there is Zane" Adam replied "Yep" Jaden stated, Adam looked over and stared into Zane's eyes "I can just tell by looking at you that you're a bug deal, I cant wait to turn you to ash" Adam stated, walking over to the sidelines "Syrus, Chumley, Alexis..." Adam said, he and Alexis had a stare-down "Are things still rough between them?" Syrus whispered "Looks like it" Chumley replied "Duel!" Zane and Jaden shouted.
"Here I come, I summon Elemental HERO Avion in attack mode!" Jaden stated, bringing his monster out "And I'll throw down a facedown while I'm at it" Jaden continued "That's it? Alright" Zane replied "First I summon Cyber Dragon in attack mode" Zane stated, the as the mechanical beast burst from the ground "Wait, how'd you bring a level five monster out on your first turn?" Jaden asked "Without any monsters on my field, I can bring out Cyber Dragon without a sacrifice" Zane answered "And now I activate Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your facedown card" Zane stated, as the harsh storm blew away Jaden's facedown "That was fast" Jaden grunted "Not as fast as your life points will drop, Cyber Dragon attack, Strident Blast!" Zane ordered, the metal dragon blasted Avion with fire, destroying it and dropping Jaden's life points to 2900.
Adam narrowed his eyes "Two turns in and Jaden's life points aren't far from halved" he said "I warned him Zane was the best" Alexis stated "You must have a vendetta against him too then" Adam snapped, Alexis scowled at Adam in response "Next I activate Different Dimension Capsule, allowing me to take any card from my deck and place it in the capsule, two turns later I can add it to my hand" Zane explained, placing a card in the capsule "I cant wait to see that card" Jaden said "Your move, Jaden" Zane said.
Jaden drew his card "Alright, round two! First I'll use Polymerization to fuse Elemental HERO Sparkman and Clayman into Elemental HERO Thunder Giant!" Jaden said as the monster appeared on a flash of lightning "And thank's to his effect, he destroys any monsters with attack points less than his, and that means your Cyber Dragon" Jaden stated as Zane's monster was destroyed "Now I can attack!" Jaden shouted, Thunder Giant blasted Zane with lightning, cutting his life points down to 1600, but Zan was unfazed without a word "You could flinch a little, maybe this facedown will make you" Jaden said, setting a card.
Zane drew his next card "Nice move, kid, but with my field empty I can summon another Cyber Dragon" he said, bringing out the monster "Better yet, I'll bring out two, with Monster Reborn, I bring back the Cyber Dragon you destroyed to the field" Zane said ("His deck must revolve around Cyber Dragons, looks like I have a potential challenger") Adam thought, grinning "Neither will be here long, I use Polymerization to unite my Cyber Dragons into Cyber Twin Dragon" Zane stated as a two headed metal dragon appeared on the field "Twin dragon?" Chumley asked "Now my dragon can attack twice meaning double the trouble for your monster and life points" Zane stated "Not yet, I have a trap, A Hero Emerges!" Jaden shouted.
"Normally you'd pick a card from my hand and if it's a monster, I summon it, but I only have one monster in my hand so I'll just bring out Wroughtweiler in defense mode" Jaden explained "You'll need him, Cyber Twin Dragon, Double Strident Blast" Zane ordered , the dragon blasted away Jaden's monster, cutting his life points to 2500 "Thanks for that, because when Wroughtweiler is destroyed I can bring an Elemental HERO and Polymerization back from my graveyard, just when you though you could stop worrying about him" Jaden stated "I don't worry" Zane replied, coldly "This guy is...something" Adam said "Man, you're chill, you must be really good" Jaden said, Zane broke out a small smile "You too" he replied.
"Now I summon Elemental HERO Bubbleman, and since he's the only one on my field, I can draw two more cards" Jaden said, drawing his cards "Now I play Polymerization, fusing Clayman and Bubbleman into Elemental HERO Mudball Man!" Jaden stated "Licious, Mudball Man has 3000 defense, Zane's twin dragon cant get through it" Chumley said, Adam grinned "Now gimme your best shot" Jaden ordered "You got it" Zane said, when the capsule rose from the ground "It's been two turns, so now I can take the card I put in it out and add it to my hand" Zane stated, as the capsule shattered.
Zane added a card to his hand "You played well, but not well enough" he hissed "Gimme what you got, Im ready" Jaden replied "Im sure your are, a good duelist is ready for anything, not just knowing how to use their cards, but also how to play them" Zane stated "The hell does that mean?" Adam asked "And you play your cards well, Jaden" Zane stated ("Am I missing something? Is there a difference between using and playing cards?) Adam thought "First I play De-fusion, splitting my twin dragon back into two Cyber Dragons, next I activate Power Bond!" Zane stated, Syrus gasped "Now I can summon a machine type fusion monster, and with a third Cyber Dragon in my hand, I can summon Cyber End Dragon" Zane said as the three headed mechanized dragon formed in a bright flash of electricity.
"Holy hell, I haven't seen a card that strong in a while" Adam said "Not only that, but it's attack is doubled thanks to Power Bond" Zane stated, as the monster's attack rose up to 8000 "It's stronger than the boosted comet dragon you used against Syrus, Adam" Alexis pointed out "I can see that" Adam said "Cyber End Dragon, attack Mudball man, Super Strident Flame!" Zane yelled, the dragon blasted Mudball Man away, along with Jaden's life points.
Jaden fell to his knees "Jaden, no!" Chumley shouted "He lost..." Alexis said in disbelief "I was supposed to beat him" Adam growled through gritted teeth "Thanks for a great duel, Zane" Jaden said, Zane smiled and was about to walk away, but turned back to his brother before leaving. Adam huffed, disappointed that someone beat Jaden before he could "Adam!" Alexis shouted, Adam halted "What?" He snapped "Im sorry...for earlier, I know you don't believe in mercy because of me and I reprimanded you anyway" Alexis said, Adam sighed and turned back, giving Alexis a hug, making her blush "I was an asshole, I get it, Syrus is a friend and I raged out on him, that was my fault. Let's agree that we both have some learning to do" he said, Alexis smiled and hugged back "Got it" she said "Awww, isn't that sugary sweet?" Jaden teased, Alexis and Adam quickly separated, both of their faces beat red "I-Im going back to my dorm" Adam said, speeding off.
Adam returned to his dorm where a hooded figure stood in front of the table next to his bed "Hey! Who the hell are you?!" Adam shouted, the figure turned slightly before vanishing, Adam ran up to his table and saw three card copies, with a strange black coloring, Adam spotted a note next to the cards and snatched it up "These cards will come in handy for you when you need them-DARKENED" it read "What the hell..?" Adam whispered, he looked at the cards "Red-Eyes...Flare Metal Dragon?" He asked.
