"Face it kid, your through, I have three monsters on the field, even if that Red-Eyes can destroy my Kajukujaku, my Rabidragon and Phantasm Spiral Dragon will be able to blast it away" a test duelist stated, Adam chuckled sinisterly "Hey, what're you laughing about?" The test duelist asked "Tell me, how many life points do you have left" Adam asked "2200, why?" The test duelist asked, Adam laughed "I play Inferno Fire Blast, blasting away the rest of your life points" he hissed, the test duelist's face lost its color as the Red-Eyes Black Dragon blew away the rest of his life point, Adam let out an intimidating laugh "Easy!" He yelled "Congrats kid, welcome to duel academy." The test duelist replied.
Adam walked back into the stands, chuckling to himself, looking at his Red-Eyes Black Dragons "You three pull through no matter who I face, no doubt" he whispered, Adam said "Hey, you did pretty good" a voice said "I know I did, my deck has been hand crafted over years of trial and error to blast anyone and anything into sizzling pieces" Adam stated "Sweet, name's Jaden Yuki" he said "Adam Blagden" he replied "Well Adam, you might just be the second best duelist here" Jaden said, Adam jerked his head to the side "Excuse me?" He hissed "Thats right, cause the best is yours truly" Jaden said, Adam stared Jaden dead in his eyes "Well see about that..." he replied, fire in his eyes.
"Would Jaden Yuki move to the exam field" A voice said over the intercom "Alright, wish me luck" Jaden said walking down "You think he'll do well?" Another kid asked "And who are you?" Adam asked "Oh, uh...Im Syrus" he said "Adam...and he better" he replied ("This guys says he's the best, we'll see how best you are when I torch you with my Red-Eyes...") Adam thought.
"Hello there!" An old man said "Who the hell is that?" Adam asked "That's Dr. Crowler, an instructor at Duel Academy" Syrus answered "Really? If Jaden's dueling that ugly jackass, he's biting off more than he can chew" Adam stated "He better be careful" another person said, Adam and Cyrus turned and saw a black haired kid sitting next to them "Who are you again?" Adam asked "Bastion" he answered "Name's Adam, and the one standing over me is Syrus" he stated "Hello" Syrus said.
Jaden and Crowler drew their hands "Lets duel!" they shouted ("Jaden, beat him so I can duel you in the future and secure my position at the top spot") Adam thought "I summon Elemental HERO Avion in defense mode!" Jaden shouted "Elemental Heroes, he plays a effect-less monsters, Im disappointed" Adam said "I throw down a facedown" Jaden stated "Yes, Very good, don't tell me what to do" Crowler said as he drew a card "For my first move, I'll start easy. I play Confiscation!" Crowler stated "What's that do?" Jaden asked "I pay 1000 life points to look at your hand and choose a card to send to the graveyard" Crowler answered, looking at Jaden's hand ("Thats a cheap card, but I would be lying if I said I didn't play my fair share of them") Adam thought "Monster Reborn, to the grave!" Crowler stated, as the card was destroyed.
"Next I set two cards on the field and play Heavy Storm, this card destroys all spell and traps on the field" Crowler said as a string wind surrounded the field, destroying the spells and traps "Whoopsie, did you forget that you had two trap cards out?" Jaden asked "You mustn't speak out of turn" Crowler replied, dark clouds covered the field "What the hell?" Adam asked "Whats happening?" Jaden asked "Nothing yet!" Crowler answered, as two monsters form "But that's about to change!" Crowler stated "What's going on?" Syrus asked "The traps Crowler played were called statue of the wicked, they create tokens when they're destroyed, thats why he played heavy storm" Bastion said.
Adam narrowed his eyes ("This old bastard's not playing around, if Jaden isn't careful, he's screwed") he thought "Ready for your next lesson?" Crowler asked "You bet, I cant remember the last time learning was so fun!" Jaden replied "Its not, you optimistic idiot, but I cant say I don't admire thats positivity of yours" Adam said, grinning "Yes, well I'm an excellent teacher, thank you" Crowler replied "And now I sacrifice my two tokens to summon Ancient Gear Golem!" Crowler yelled, everyone, including Jaden looked in awe "Ancient Gears, damn things are powerful, but they aren't strong enough to deal with me" Adam hissed "What's with you? You seem to know everything about this duel" Bastion said "I have experience, the ultimate weapon" Adam said, smiling.
"Now, I hope my Ancient Gear Golem doesn't care you too much" Crowler said "No way, I've always wanted to take one on" Jaden said "Jaden's either brave or nuts!" Syrus "Golem, attack! Mechanized Melee!" Crowler shouted, as the monster destroyed Avion "Jaden's monster didn't stand a chance! His defense points were too low" Syrus said "And its about to look worse" Bastion said "Thats right, Ancient Gear Golem does piercing damage when it destroys a defense position monster" Adam said "So Jaden still takes damage!" Syrus said as the golem struck Jaden and dropped his life points to 2000 "Don't feel bad, this is the top dueling school in the country" Crowler said, but Jaden laughed "You really know your stuff, I really wanna go here now" Jaden replied.
Jaden drew his next card "I summon Winged Kuriboh, in defense mode, and set a card facedown, not bad, huh?" Jaden asked "Yes, not bad, but see a Kuriboh is nothing to me, even if it has wings, my Ancient Gear Golem will crush it!" Crowler stated as he drew his next card "Now, my golem will attack your Winged Kuriboh with Mechanized Melee!" Crowler shouted, the monster was destroyed but Jaden was fine "Check your gear, you life points haven't moved" Crowler said "My gear's fine, if Winged Kuriboh's destroyed, I don't take damage" Jaden said.
Jaden chuckled "By attacking Winged Kuriboh, you activate one of my favorite traps, Hero Signal! Which brings out my second elemental hero, Burstinatrix" Jaden stated, in a burst of fire, the monster formed on the field, Adam smiled "First I bring back Avion with The Warrior Returning Alive, and I summon him too" Jaden stated as the winged monster appeared "Okay, another mistake" Crowler said "I wasn't done yet, my heroes may not be that strong by themselves, but when I put them together its different, I activate Polymerization" Jaden said as the two hero monsters fused "Fusion summon Elemental HERO Flame Wingman!" Jaden stated.
"So, what do you think?" Jaden asked "I think you duel well for an amateur, but next time try playing a stronger monster" Crowler said "Oh it will be, when I play the field spell, Skyscraper" Jaden replied, massive building formed on the field, as Flame Wingman stood on the tallest one "Flame Wingman, attack the Ancient Gear Golem" Jaden ordered "Fine with me, Skyscraper hasn't lowered my Golem's attack!" Crowler said "Maybe not, but it does raise Flame Wingman's attack by 1000" Jaden stated "Wait, time out!" Crowler yelled "Go, Skydive Scorcher!" Jaden shouted, and his fusion monster destroyed the golem "And thanks to Flame Wingman's superpower, the attack points of your monster are dealt to your life points as damge, pretty sweet if you ask me" Jaden said, with that the Ancient Gear Golem fell apart and onto Crowler, reducing his life points to 0. The crowd cheered at Jaden's victory and Adam smiled "Perfect, now I'll get the chance to duel him" he said "Alright Jaden!" Syrus said.
