Adam stood outside the academy with Jaden, Syrus, Alexis, Chumley and Professor Banner "So you called me here for what again? A hike right?" Adam asked "That's right, being honest I didn't expect you to show, Adam" Banner said "Well Lexi said she wanted me to come along, isn't that right?~" Adam teased, Alexis blushed "Alright, we must be careful approaching the ruins, inside is an ancient tomb" Banner stated "Hey Jaden, I need to talk to you" Surus said, dragging Jaden off to the side ("Hell's with them?") Adam thought "Now, let's go" Banner said as the group started their hike.
The group trekked through the forest, sticking close to each other, but not spared by Chumley's complaining "I hate hiking, are we there yet? Im hungry" Chumley groaned, Adam placed his hand on Chumely's shoulder "Say another damn word, go ahead, see what the hell happens..." he growled, Chumley was drenched in fear as he shut his mouth "Better" Adam said "Look, we're finally here" Banner stated, The group looked and saw the ancient structure "They look all ruined" Jaden said "No shit" Adam replied "It's beautiful, you can still make out the remains of the oculus, and the vestigiam "He seems really excited to see some rocks" Syrus said, Chumley was about to reply, but he looked at Adam and decided against it.
"Now, let's chow down" Jaden said "He's right, it's food time" Adam said "I don't see why not" Banner replied, Adam dropped to the ground and Alexis placed a bag next to him "I don't know why you wanted me to carry that" she said "Simple, no one expects someone like you to carry a meal like me, you look healthy, and what I eat is not that" Adam said, opening the beg, revealing an assortment of meats "Whoa, where'd you get a meal like that?" Jaden asked "I have my ways" Adam hissed "Can I have a bite?" Jaden asked "Sure, if you wanna be cooked as well" Adam growled "Uh..never mind" Jaden replied, when green lights shot up from the ground "What the hell?" Adam asked "What's going on?!" Banner shouted, when three bright lights and a multicolored veil formed in the sky.
The group looked up at the light "Does anyone else see that?" Banner asked "I don't know what that is" Adam said, the lights started flashing like a storm "Quick, children, find cover!" Banner shouted, the all started running "We'll be safe in that sepulcher" Banner said "The what?" The students replied "The thing with the hole in it!" Adam shouted, they all took cover except Jaden "Come on!" Syrus called out "You must hurry" Banner said "You guys stay there, I'll lead this storm away!" Jaden stated, running off "Idiot" Adam said, he quickly kissed Alexis before dashing after Jaden "Get back here you dumbass!!" Adam shouted.
Jaden ran as fast as he could, with Adam in tow "What the hell are you doing?!" He yelled "Im trying to save our friends" Jaden answered, the a white light washed over them both. The two woke up on a stone floor "What the hell happened?" Adam asked, Jaden looked up "I think we took a wrong turn" Jaden said, Adam heard a sound and turned to see a Winged Kuriboh floating next to Jaden's head "Is that a Kuriboh?" Adam asked "Yeah, he's been flying around with me for a while" Jaden said, he then turned to and his eyes widened "Adam, look, the entrance to the ruins" he said "They're...restored" Adam said "This feels like a crazy dream. Wish you could pinch my cheek and wake me up, Kuriboh" Jaden joked, but the Kuriboh did just that "Ow, did you sharpen those?" Jaden asked, when a realization hit him "Hey, since when could I feel you? This is a first" Jaden stated, holding the small monster, when someone cleared their throat in an attentive way.
"This is sacred ground, you two must leave immediately, you are in very grave danger!" A woman stated "Presented with a pretty lady the literal day after I get a girlfriend, who's nowhere in sight, this must be a test of loyalty. Im passing, I hope you know that, whoever put me up to this!" Adam shouted, suddenly footsteps could be heard, the woman grabbed a bag near her feet and rushed over, pressing Jaden and Adam against the side of a staircase "Hey!" Jaden shouted "Quiet, or do you wish to end up like the others?" the woman said "Others?" Jaden asked, the woman shushed him as solders walked past them.
"They dress weirder than Dr. Crowler" Jaden said "What the hell is going on?" Adam asked "I speak of the ones who share your dress, they were taken by the Grave keeper Chief, and will be punished for entering his tomb" the woman stated, Adam clenched his fist "Well that chief's in for a flaming ass kicking, courtesy of me an my Red-Eyes" Adam said, the woman flinched "Take us to him, right now!" Jaden ordered "As you wish, you were warned" the woman stated. "Tell me strangers, by which means did you arrive here?" The woman asked "Uh, the name's Jaden and I don't really know, I bet you'd get a great tan here though" Jaden replied, Adam sighed, the woman led them to an empty room "You will wait here" the woman stated "No we wont, we wanna se our friends" Jaden stated, Adam nudged him "Oh, right" Jaden said "I will find them, if you two are found, you'll be no use to them" the woman stated "Fine" Adam hissed "I'll be back" the woman said, before leaving.
Jaden and Adam stayed in the room, waiting for the woman to return "What's taking her so long?" Adan growled "Wait, what if she's working with the Grave keeper? Then we're all in danger" Jaden said "Someone help us!" A voice shouted, Jaden and Adam shot up "I know that voice, Alexis!" Adam yelled, he and Jaden jumped up and looked through holes near the top of the room and saw the group they traveled with trapped in coffins "Oh no" Jaden said, when he was suddenly poked "Get down" a voice ordered "Move towards the sharp objet? You gotta be kidding" Jaden replied "Now, the voice demanded "Fine" Jaden said, he and Adam dropped to the floor and were met with spears, the two noticed the woman look at them through a doorway and quickly leave "You bitch!" Adam yelled.
"Oh, where are my manners, Im Jaden Yuki" he trembled "Adam..." he hissed, no reply "And your name would be?" Jaden asked "I am the Grave Keeper Chief, and you two have trespassed on the sacred tomb I protect" The man in the back stated "Sounds good to me, so we'll just grab our friends, say goodbye and zip back to our dimension" Jaden said "That is not possible" the Chief stated "Why not?" Jaden asked "Because you two have trespassed, and you must be punished" the Chief replied "Cant we just pay a fine?" Jaden asked "No" the Chief stated "Fine, then you cant point your spears at me" Jaden replied, he was them met with spears again "Alright, enough of this, we need to get home, what do we have to do to do that?" Adam asked, the Chief smiled and held up a dueling deck.
Jaden and Adam's eyes widened "A duel, now you're speaking my language, you-" Adam held his arm in front of Jaden "I'll duel you and you'll let all of us go" he stated "If you win, so be it" the Chief replied "Adam, are you sure?" Jaden asked "Jaden, these bastards blame us for something we had no control over, and are threatening to bury the ones we hold close to us alive, Im dueling, they deserve how I do it" Adam stated "If you say so, just make sure to pull through" Jaden replied, Adam smiled "You got it" he said.
