"The fuck are the Dark Scorpions?" Adam asked "They were this group of people that turned out to be shadow riders, they tried to steal our spirit keys" Jaden stated "I get the sense they were really annoying" Adam said "They are" Chazz hissed, Adam stood and stretched "I'm heading to class, see you" he said.
"You all know Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba as dueling legends far in a way the very best of their generation" Banner explained "And the best looking too" a girl said "They're total dreamboats" another stated "I like Mai Valentine" a boy said "But you do realize, class that there were other great duelists way before all of them" Banner stated "How is that, prof? I mean Duel Monsters hasn't been around all that long" Jaden said "Guess you were asleep during that class, Jaden" Syrus replied "Like he is usually" Adam said, a small smirk on his face "They used to play back in ancient Egypt" Syrus stated "That's right. And one of the best back in those days was a powerful pharaoh named Abidos III. Abidos was undefeated" Banner explained "Undefeated? That's so sweet, he must have been something else. 'Course it's a good thing he's not around today, because that undefeated record would go adios" Jaden stated "You would say something like that" Adam chuckled "Sure it would slacker, and then you'd probably take down Yugi and Kaiba too" Chazz said "You think? Well thanks, I had no idea that you believed in me so much, Chazz" Jaden replied "It's sarcasm, got that?" Chazz growled "Sure, but if you wanna change your name, Chazz, you can do a lot better than sarcasm" Jaden replied "You know what I mean!" Chazz yelledc head locking Jaden "Hey come on guys, you're gonna get us in trouble" Syrus said "You want trouble? I'll show you!" Chazz yelled "Come on guys, he'll hear us" Syrus said "He sure will, you can continue in detention" Banner stated "Aw man, fifth time this week" Syrus said.
That night, Adam, Zed and Zane met up with Alexis by the lighthouse "Thanks for coming" she said "What's up?" Zed asked "I needed someone to talk too. I though having my brother back would make everything okay again, but it seems like there're more questions than ever now, and then with these Shadow Riders...I just don't know what to do" Alexis stated "Neither do we, but know that you're safe right now" Zane said "You're brother will be fine. We'll stop the Shadow Riders and things can be normal again" Adam stated, hugging Alexis "Yeah" Alexis replied, hugging Adam back, when the ground started rumbling and mummies rose from it "What the hell?!" Adam yelled, the mummies started approaching and Adam's eyes went red "Not good" Zane stated "No shit" Adam stated, creating a wall of fire.
With Jaden, Syrus and Chazz
"I spend more time in detention than class, mom's not gonna be happy" Syrus stated "Just blame Sarcasm" Jaden said "Okay, the joke's old!" Chazz yelled, Syrus sighed "At least things can't get worse" he said, when they noticed a flash of orange light over the cliff, they ran up and saw Alexis, Zane, Zed and Adam behind a wall of flames "Alexis! Adam!" Jaden called out "Zane! Zed!" Chazz yelled "Mummies!?" Syrus shouted "Save yourselves!" Zane ordered "I got this" Adam stated "Now way, you need-" Jaden stopped when mummies surounded them "Help" Jaden said, bats swarmed in and picked apart most of the mummies as Camula appeared "Camula!" Jaden said "Are you hurt?" She asked "No, thanks for the save" Jaden replied, when more mummies rose from the ground "Give us the spirit key" a mummy ordered "My key?" Jaden asked "Shadow Riders?" Chazz said, a golden light pierced the clouds as a golden ship descended into view, the light grew blinding as a voice spoke "Deulists, I've come for you!" It stated.
The light cleared and the group appeared on the ship "Wake up, dumbass!" Adam yelled, Jaden shot up and looked at his friends "What happened? Professor!" He shouted "The mummies found me and brought me here, my spirit key must have led them to me" Banner said "That must be how they found all of us" Zane said "But dad has my key, and Camula does have one at all" Zed stated "You two must have been in range" Adam replied, then they noticed a masked figure sitting on a throne and walked up to a golden platform "Hello there" the figure said, Banner fell over in fear "What's wrong with him?" Syrus asked "I don't know, looks like he's seen a ghost" Chazz stated.
The figure stood up "What's this?" Jaden stood on the platform "Hey, what's the big idea!?" He yelled "That's not how one should address an Egyptian pharaoh" the figure stated, walking forward "Hold on, pharaoh?" Zed asked "He looks like the picture Banner showed us in class" Chazz stated "Abidos..." Alexis said "You'll make a fine palace girl, my beautiful doll" Abidos stated "The names Alexis, and I'm happily taken, now what's going on?" she asked "He's a Shadow Rider, after the Sacred Beasts like the rest" Zane stated "And it seems like he's got us outnumbered" Chazz said "That's right, so just leave your keys and walk away, you don't want to duel me" Abidos stated "I do! Over here, please pick me!" Jaden shouted, raising his hand with a smile
The group was about to call Jaden out for being so eager, but they noticed a red light grow and a significant heat rising, they turned to Adam and noticed him shaking "Adam..?" Alexis asked, Adam didn't respond, blood started to seep from his clenched fists, as he gritted his teeth, his eyes started to glow bright and brighter, he stood up and walked onto the platform, placing his hand on Jaden's shoulder "Move" he hissed "What? Come on Adam, I-" Jaden cut himself off with a yell of pain, as Adam threw him aside, the ground noticed a burn mark on Jaden's jacket as Adam approached Abidos "Oh? You're going to duel me?" He asked "No. I'm gonna destroy you" Adam growled "Dad, you don't have your duel disk!" Zed shouted, Adam clenched his fist as fire surrounded his arm and his duel disk appeared on it in it's transformed state "This is a demon disk now" Adam stated, he looked up at Abidos "The books say you're undefeated, right?" He hissed "It's a fact" Abidos stated "Then I'm gonna cut that record, and maybe your life short. You've made your last mistake, Abidos!" Adam stated as he backed surrounded in flames "The only one that calls Alexis beautiful...is ME!!!" Adam yelled as the flames cleared, revealing black draconic wings on his back.
