"So we kinda got caught out after hours and now we need to practice for a duel Crowler's putting me and Sy in, can you help?" Jaden asked "What?" Adam replied "Yeah...we're in a serious situation, but you're strong, it'll be great practicing with you" Jaden said, Adam sighed "Where's Syrus?" He asked. Adam and Syrus stood across from each other on the shore of the Slifer Red dorm, ready for a practice duel "Alright guys, remember this is practice so go easy" a kid said "Sorry, who the hell is this?" Adam asked "That's Chumley, he's our roommate" Syrus answered "First of all, don't give me orders unless you're willing to duel me for it, second, there's no mercy in a duel, and I get the feeling Syrus needs to learn that..." Adam hissed "This might not go well" Alexis said, walking in "What do you mean?" Chumley asked "Adam gets pretty aggressive when he duels, and I get the feeling friends aren't spared, Crowler may not pit Jaden and Syrus against any pushover, but if Adam beats Syrus here, he may make him give up before the duel even starts" Alexis stated "You make a good point" Jaden replied.
"Its time to duel Syrus, prepare yourself" Adam said "O-Okay" Syrus replied "I set two cards and summon The Black Stone of Legend, then I use it's effect, sending it to the graveyard to special summon Red-Eyes Black Dragon, that's my turn, go!" Adam yelled "Whoa, a Red-Eyes on the first turn" Jaden said "I set a monster face down and end my turn" Syrus stated "It better help you, draw!" Adam said "Lets go, I activate Cards of The Red Stone, and send Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon to the grave from my hand to draw two more cards" Adam stated, he drew his cards and smirked "Red-Eyes, blow away Syrus' face down" Adam ordered, as the dragon blasted the monster with fire, destroying it.
Syrus started shaking, and fell to the ground "Hey, isn't dirt just the coolest?" He asked, Adam tilted his head "Are you okay?" Adam asked "Hey, don't beat yourself up Syrus, you just made one mistake" Jaden said "Yeah, coming to this school" Syrus replied "No, you lost one monster, thats fine, it happens all the time" Jaden stated "Listen to your friend, even high rankers like me make bad moves" Adam said, Syrus sighed "Alright, lets keep going!" He replied "There we go, your move Syrus" Adam stated, Syrus drew his next card "I activate Pot of Greed!" He stated as it formed on the field "And with it's effect, I can draw two more cards. Now I play Polymerization to fuse my Streamroid and Gyroid to summon the Steam Gyroid!" Syrus shouted, as the two monster formed into a train like monster "That thing cant take out my Red-Eyes" Adam said "It can when I activate Limiter Removal, doubling Steam Gyroid's attack points" Syrus stated as his monsters attack boosted to 4400 "What?!" Adam shouted "Now Steam Gyroid, destroy Adam's Red-Eyes" Syrus ordered as the train like monster rammed into the dragon, destroying it and dropping Adam's life points to 2000.
"Way to go Sy!" Jaden said "Yeah, you got him on the ropes" Chumley stated "Thanks guys" Syrus said,when Alexis noticed Adam's fist tightening "Adam, don't!" She yelled, but it was too late "It's my turn now, and I activate Red-Eyes Fusion, sending a Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Meteor Dragon to summon Meteor Black Comet Dragon!" Adam yelled as the meteor like dragon crashed onto the field "Uh-oh" Jaden said "But I'm not done yet, I activate The Claw of Hermos, now I send another Black Stone of Legend to the grave to summon Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword!" Adam stated as the sword appeared.
"Not only that, but I activate my sword's effect, equipping it to my comet dragon giving it 1000 more attack, and 500 more attack and defense for each dragon monster in my graveyard and I count six!" Adam yelled as his comet dragon's attack shot up "7500 attack points?!" Syrus yelled "Now I activate comet dragon's effect, sending Red-Eyes Darkness Metal dragon to the grave to deal 1400 damage to you, Syrus" Adam stated as the comet dragon blasted Syrus, cutting his life points to 2600 "This is over! Meteor Black Comet Dragon, destroy Syrus' Steam Gyroid with Inferno Meteor and end this duel!"Adam yelled as the dragon blasted away Syrus' monster along with the rest of his life points.
Adam took a breath as Jaden came down to comfort Syrus, as Adam went back to the blue dorms "Adam!" Alexis shouted "Yeah?" Adam replied "What was that? I though you were gonna be less cruel" Alexis stated "I was being less cruel, if I wasn't I would have broken out an even more powerful monster" Adam replied "What monster could you possible have that can beat 7500 attack points?" Alexis asked "One that can double it and beyond, Im saving it for a proper opponent" Adam stated "I know after our duel you don't believe in mercy, but Syrus is a friend" Alexis said "My deck didn't think so, and I don't argue with it" Adam stated "Maybe you aren't better than Chazz" Alexis said, Adam gripped Alexis' collar and puller her close "Never compare me to Chazz-hole" he hissed, he pushed Alexis back before walking away "Man, what's gotten into him?" Jaden asked "I don't know" Alexis replied.
