You weren't sure how long you were out for, but it was much longer than a single day since your eyes felt so heavy. Everything had hurt less from the last time you were awake, but the pain was still there in your waking times. All of your muscles felt weak as you opened your eyes to the sun filling the room, putting a strain to your dark-adjusted pupils. You tried to blink away the uneasy feeling as you waited for your eyes to become readjusted to the light around you. Slowly your senses made it's way back to you as the smell of fresh linen filled your nose and you could hear the soft chirps of the birds around you. Your guess was it was late in the morning when you finally got up. Finally, your eyes were adjusted to the light as you examined the room you were in. You were in the church and in a spare bed they had in the infirmary, a place you came to every so often. The sound of silence was a bit to irritating to you as you didn't want to lie down for much longer, your body itched to sit up despite your worn state.
Taking your only good arm, you pushed your self up on the bed carefully as to not disturb the healing would on your side. Part of you even forgot the burns you felt while fighting as they seemed to be completely healed, and from your guess was Barbara's work. You sighed softly in relief as you finally sat up, taking a look at the bandages that crossed your body. You had bandages that even crossed across your chest despite having no injury there, probably to keep the access to your wounds easier instead of taking off a shirt every few hours to replace them. You traced your good hand over the shoulder that had the knife wedge in it, flinching when it ached in pain. You took the forearm of your left hand and slowly moved it up to see how badly it hurt, and to wage if it struck a bone or nerve. You let go of your fore arm and kept raising your arm despite the pain. A little bit of pain was nothing as long as you knew you were okay. You set your arm down slowly as the knob to your door jiggled, a few pair of footsteps rang in your ears as your eyes landed on the door. When the door was swung open, you saw Barbara and Jean right away, as well as a mix of different voices that came from outside the room.
"Oh my goodness you're up!" Barbara cheered, practically running to your the left side of your bed as everyone else walked in.
Jean came in first and stood at the wall to the side to have everyone else fit in, Amber came right behind her and ran to join Barbara's side beaming at the sight you were awake. Lumine and Paimon came in and trailed behind by Venti, which you you haven't seen in sometime. All of them looked excited to see you awake and alert after being out for who knows how long.
"How long was I out for?" Your voice cracked at the lack of water you had since waking up.
"About four days? You took quite a beating and were heavily injured, if Master Diluc and Razor hadn't come in any later who knows if you would be awake right now." Jean smiled.
You couldn't help but feel a light dampen on your heart knowing you caused them to panic and worry in your fragile state. You scolded yourself internally for being so careless when dealing with the hunters, maybe you were loosing your touch. Then again, one of them had a vision that seemed completely off to you. Maybe once you were better you could go back and investigate what that hunter had on him.
"The entirety of Mondstadt and Springvale was talking about a bright purple light the night you came back into the city so injured," Venti sighed. "We've even heard that people from Liyue could see it too!"
"I saw that light too before I saw Master Diluc run into the church some time later." Barbara chimed in, feeling embarrassment rise your your cheeks.
"That might have been my doing." You croaked out, thinking back to the situation that forced you to play and unknown card.
"Wait, wait, wait. You're telling Paimon that the big flash of light came from YOU?!" The fairy yelled as you nodded to her in agreement. "Paimon didn't even think you could make a light that big..." She held her head while trying to grasp at the sheer force you used to produce such a result.
