——————-Text
"Would you like anything to eat? You haven't had anything to eat in the last two days." A maids voice rang out from outside your door."No, I'm not hungry." You reply coldly, back still turned towards the door.
You'd been stuck in the winery for about four days now, and every moment was painful for you. You hadn't been able to rest peacefully since your mind was tearing away at you silently, you secluded yourself more from the gaze of the maids. Hell, you hadn't even seen Diluc since he met you at the winery after the incident at Dragonspine. Everything here was so suffocating and you couldn't leave.
You heard the soft clicks of the maids heels start to trail away from your door as you felt the weight inside of you grow heavier. You'd been fighting your mind day and night as being stuck in here reminded you too much of what you faced in Inazuma. Your cheeks were stained by your dry tears as you remained immoveable, too tired to get up and do something productive. No matter physical wounds came and went, your mental wounds had never had a chance to heal over- stuck in a constant cycle of trying to get better and then falling in deep into the overwhelming pain.
If you didn't fall to your physical wounds, you would one day succumb to your mental torment. And it terrified you.
You got up from the position from the floor to look outside, seeing nothing but dark skies. You longed to just to go outside and sit in the rain, but every time you tugged and crashed into the door it remained closed. Your hands traced the glass, the feeling of being out in the open was something that you'd been longing as if you were thrown back a few years in your past. The soft sound that was produced when your horns hit the glass mimicked what it would sound like if thunder was toned down.
Your attention was pulled from the outside word as your door opened, revealing the man that kept you inside. Your eyes pierced right through him as he stood on the other side of the room with his arms crossed.
"I've heard you haven't eaten."
"Surprising that you would know since you haven't been here for three days now." Your words spilled out like venom, quick to make the man before you wince in the slightest.
"Just because I've been gone for three days doesn't mean I don't know about how you've been doing." He sighed.
His words stuck a particular nerve in you as your anger boiled over. "How I've been doing? I'm guessing you know how horrible I've been doing being stuck here, being eaten alive mentally?" You stormed over to him, face darkened by the frustration you felt. "Do you also know how many tears I've spent since being here for what you all think what's good for me?"
You now stood in front of Diluc, tears threatening your eyes. You grabbed his tie and pulled him down to your eye level. "Do you really know how I've been doing or do you just know that I haven't escaped."
You let go of his tie and walked towards your bed, climbing into the middle of the pillows as you turned away from him. You hated the feeling of loosing control of your emotions, but it felt justified to do so at this point. You curled up into your chest as you looked out to see a storm rolling in, finding comfort of hearing the rain once more. You felt the bed under you rise as you could faintly feel the body heat from Diluc. You closed your eyes and nuzzled your head deeper into the pillows.
