You hated slow days. Your body was hardened and used to fighting for your life, you practically grew up on training and fighting. You don't remember a moment in your homeland that you were able to rest. Inazuma was always harsh towards you, whether it be by the landscape you had to climb or the constant hunters you had to kill. Your hands were always filled with blood, and when your archon called the vison hunt, you life got even harder. Your memories blurred into a haze of fighting day by day, holding onto the humanity you had inside you to not just go and kill your archon yourself. You had to do too much to stop yourself from mindlessly slaughtering someone, your self control was stronger than a damned ruin guard.
You snapped back into reality after dozing off, staring at the apple that hung above your head. It's been a few days since the incident happened in the storm, running into that guy who was also a vision user. You recall watching him from the cliffs above, seeing him stop at the winery as the same scream caught your attention. He arrived before you, but you got more information on how to take the lawachurl head on. After that battle was done you returned his now passed out body to the same place you saw him, a maid seemingly panicked at both the man in your arms and your soaking figure. Luckily you were wearing your mask that hid half of your face, but made you ten times scarier with your blacked out irises and demonic eyes. Normally people who see you in such a way just start screaming for an exorcist, but a few more maids came out and took the man away from your arms as you said nothing. You got out of there as quick as you could, having to show yourself is one thing, but talking? Talking was off limits. You didn't even know how to hold a conversation well without panicking because no one made an effort to try and talk to you, they were too busy with trying to find something to shoo you away with. Your memory started to fail you as the night just became a mush of just trying to stay warm, you don't even remember if you investigated why the lawachurl was there. Last time you ran into one was in Liyue, and that was bad as it could get. Being on the run from a blue haired exorcist and a young woman who would yell a little "Yahoo!" at times sure tired you out. One wanted to kill you, the other you didn't even dare get close to because you didn't know what kind of chaos she could unravel.
Getting up from the grass, you picked the apple above your head and started moving towards the area that you can an encounter. You would much rather work under the darkness of the right, as its just about noon, but if you waited another few hours you might as well would have let yourself be seen by the entire population of Mondstadt. You took your time, walking slowly but always aware. You'd been here for a few weeks and knew that some knights would come out once in a while and walk around, and on rare times a man with blue hair and dark skin. You picked up his name by a few shouting his name, apparently his name was Kaeya. You took the path behind the trees, wondering why you haven't seen a patrol around here in a few days. It felt... off. Your gut was screaming to run away, but your mind raced with questions. You jumped off the natural ledge with a slight grunt, being careful to not make too much sound as your gut was screaming that there was new people around. This time you decided to listen, crouching low and using some demonic energy you had stored to cover your elemental tracks. You moved slower and slower as you could hear faint talking from where the incident happened. Coming to a near crawl by now, you came into earshot distance of the new figures. You couldn't risk peeking your head, so you just stayed hidden as they talked.
"Paimon thinks that some other force is at work here!"
"Paimon, Master Diluc isn't even sure if horns was a correct description of them." A softer voice sighed. "We should just let Master Jean just take control of the investigations of this person, we have come commissions to do later."
Master Jean? Seems like a name you should also remember. You tried to take advantage of the unknow girl and flying person leaving, but stepped on a frog. Oh how the archons hated you and just you in particular. The frog made the most ungodly sound as you flinched at the sound, hopping away from your position that gives the unknown people your exact your location. You curse yourself oh so much as the shuffling of footsteps get closer to you.
