Time seemingly stopped when you entered a plane of existence that was disconnected from reality. You weren't sure where you were, but you knew you've been here multiple times before.
It was a vast area, lightly colored and smelled of nothing. The most striking think about this place was the water for the ground and how it never got you wet even if you sat on it. It was a place of tranquility but you couldn't shake the looming feeling of death. Each moment you thought that it should be day or night, the light of this plane never shifted.
At times when you screamed, you heard no echo. When you banged your first on the water, it only felt like pounding at water.
Nothing here made sense.
Gradually over time, you had a few inferences of why you were here and what this place even was in the first place. You recall your last moments in reality, throwing yourself adrift in the ocean to escape the grasp of the Shogun, to keep your promise you made many moons ago. The more you thought about it, the more dread swirled in your stomach. Anxieties gripped you at full force, hindering you to keep calm or have a single rational thought.
Where were you? Had your body been taken away to be sentenced once again? Did you lay at the bottom of the ocean? Just how do you escape this silent place of torment?
You paced back and forward, unsure of your current condition. Being back in Inazuma harmed you in more ways than just physical pain, and such painful memories even reached you here. Slowly you could feel yourself loosing touch with your sanity, sent into a manic of fear for the possibilities of being harmed becoming true.
How could you even move on if being stuck in a place of tranquility harmed you?
The calamity you experienced currently was no different than the violent storms you've faced, but how was is so much more damaging than it usually was? Even if you thought you couldn't feel pain here, your chest felt a sharp pain digging into it. It was so much more worse than any kind of wound you've experienced before, it spread to other part of your body. This pain left you useless, curled into a ball as you tried to fight off the pain to no avail.
Silently, tears traveled down your cheeks as it was the only thing you could do in such a state. You couldn't fight this pain, weeping louder as the pain only increased. Why only now were you feeling this? Was your body dying in the real world as your conscious was stuck here? These were questions that couldn't be answered as this place only watched you become engulfed in pain.
Admits your tears, you could only faintly see the ground. To your surprise, the still water was now disturbed by your falling tears, the ripples slowly but surely creating a rough sea. You laid on top of the ocean, still rendered unable to move or act because of this overwhelming pain.
For an odd reason, seeing the pace change gave you the power to move.
Everything still hurt, gritting your teeth as you tried to lift yourself up once more. You'd figure out a way to get back to everyone, even if you were in critical condition. You had hopes and dreams to fulfill, you weren't going to let yourself be consumed now and give up.
You kept pushing yourself, breathing through the pain as your shaky steps slowly let you up to stand once more. You were crouched down and in immense pain, but you haven't given up yet. You'd force an answer out of this sea of silence.
You furrowed your brows at the light sky quickly was engulfed by storm clouds, the sound of thunder in the near distance. The sea under you was the roughest waves you've ever seen in your life, crashing upon each other as sounds and smells finally started to come back to you.
Your pain was only getting worse, but you'd stand even after you die. That's what this place was anyway, this was you personal after life. Maybe you've died and come back times before since you felt like you'd been here before, or maybe it was something that far exceeded the laws of the universe. Either way, you'd hold your ground forever.
