You didn't know what the hell was happening to you, it was like you could see yourself knocked out from a birds eye view. You directly hovered your own body and waved your hand to try and see if anyone would notice you. You looked to see if Venti was able to see you, but he seemingly passed right through your body. You were in disbelief as you had no logical explanation for what the hell was happening to you, your physical body laid on the ground covered in electro from the mage that struck you.
Were you dead?
You couldn't be dead right? You could see and breathe, so what the hell was going on? You were still wearing the clothes you wore before being taken out and you didn't fully take your fathers side either. Were you in a state of where you were crossing over? Whatever it was, you needed to get back to the physical world. You floated down to your body on the ground, sticking your hand in through your back and regaining your sensations. Maybe you weren't dead after all. You decided to push through the rest of your body, sharp sensations flaring alive on your skin.
You woke up coughing and sputtering, gasping for air that your body lacked. Sharp sensations ran throughout your body as you could still feel the ticks of electricity conducting through your body. Even if you were a master at manipulating electro yourself, you were definitely were still vulnerable to being attacked with it. It's a shame that your body conducted electricity so well.
After being awake for a few moments and regaining your feelings, your head started to pound after the blow you took from the Fatui skirmisher, your mind somehow blanked out at the sensation as you were too focused on the electro that conducted on your body. You dug your gloved hands into the dirt, having the electro conduct into something other than you. You gradually felt the tingling sensation leave, trying to reclaim your motion once more to flex your muscles to get up. Moving your arm burned, the sensations only got sharper as if knives were being thrown into you every millimeter you dared to inch. It was only a few hours ago you didn't have to worry about being attacked by the vision hunters, and now here you were being ambushed by the Fatui.
You pushed through the pain, gathering your balance as you now kneeled down and lifted your head up. The sun seemed so much brighter now, so bright to a point it made your head hurt more. You looked around for familiar faces that you could turn to, only to see nothing but a few insignias on the ground. If you had to walk your way back to the city you would, though it would take a day or so to compensate for your sensitivity. Though it may be easier to use a bit of your demonic reserve, it might put too much of a strain on your body. You tried taking a step forward before heading a few thuds behind you, turning around to see a Fatui skirmisher that seemed to be working with a hydro element despite no vision in sight.
You bit your tongue, maybe you did have to use your demonic reserve after all.
The man chuckled a deep laugh as he readied his gun, charging up what was in his backpack. You internally sigh, intaking a significant portion of your demonic powers and feeling the last bit of electro leaving your body through a few sparks. You rolled your shoulders back at the new freeing sensation, summoning your catalyst and turning your attention to the larger figure that stood a distance away. Your eyes deepened upon looking at him, you really didn't want to waste your energy on him, but you had a job to do.
It was like night and day from your normal personality and when you had to get your hands dirty, taking up the mantle of being heartless on the battlefield. The Fatui skirmisher fired his gun at you, an orb of hydro flew at you as he lunged to close the distance between you two. You jumped back only before throwing darkened bolts of electro at him. Unlike most people you've faced in your life, he only seemed to shrug off the pain without a hitch. You danced on your toes and attacked him from a distance, noticing that his attacks were easier to dodge from a larger distance. You hurled attacks at him, to which his brute forced most of the attacks. You tried to study him for a weakness when he lunged at you again. Startled at the movement, you legs remained glued to the ground as he blasted you back, but not too far for you to entirely loose your balance.
