It was yet another quiet night in the Han household as Jisung returned home from school.
The blonde slung his backpack over his shoulder as he decided that he'd much rather do his homework somewhere else, anywhere but his own house.
It's not very encouraging to work in a space where you know you aren't welcome.
As much as he loves and adores his parents, he can't say the same for them.
It's not like they don't love him. He knows deep down that they do, seeing as he's their only son.
But they don't put in any effort to show it.
Jisung works his ass off to get good grades in school in hopes of earning a response from his parents.
Even a 'good job, son' from his father would suffice.
All he wants is to be seen by his parents as more than a financial burden.
Jisung took out his phone, quickly sending a text to Felix, requesting to meet at their favorite cafe to study together.
Felix wanted Seungmin to tag along as well, which of course the blonde was fine with.
They all planned to meet at the cafe in thirty minutes, Felix and Seungmin telling their parents that they were going to study with their friends.
After Jisung changed into more comfortable clothes, not really wanting to show up to the cafe in his uniform, he began his journey.
Music played loudly in his headphones as he strolled down the street, eager to meet up with his best friends.
Felix and Seungmin are the only people Jisung has left in this world.
His parents don't love him, or they don't show it, and not a lot of people even acknowledge that the boy exists.
At school, those who acknowledge him only do so for their own pleasure, teasing and mocking the poor boy.
He has two bullies who really enjoy picking on the younger purely because of how dainty he looks.
Felix looks just as dainty, but Felix also made it clear on day one of high school that you shouldn't mess with him.
Felix transferred from Australia when he was eleven years old, quickly learning that he was very appealing to those around him.
And so, he made it clear that he is not one to toy with.
Nobody messes with Seungmin, either, as he's the school's baseball champ.
Who would fuck with the greatest baseball player this side of the Han River?
That leaves the dainty and cute Han Jisung to be taunted by those around him.
Jisung is filled with too much anxiety to confront those who tease him or to even put on a show like Felix does.
He can't tell people to fuck off or to go away, he can only stand there and cry.
He hates that about himself. He feels so weak and powerless.
That's where Felix and Seungmin come in, though.
They don't mind standing up for their friend, as they know his struggles. And they understand him.
They only want to see him thrive in life, and they don't mind getting a little beaten up in the process.
Especially not Felix. He'd fight the biggest guy at school to protect Jisung.
As Jisung continued to walk towards the cafe, he couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching him.
He felt as though there were eyes on him, watching his every move.
Jisung shook the thought away, figuring maybe it was just paranoia.
But as he continued to walk, the feeling didn't go away.
He almost wondered if he should look around to see if he could spot anybody, but he didn't want to stop in case they were close.
Sometimes it's better to pretend you don't notice the eyes boring holes in your soul.
So, he continued to walk, trying his best to shake the feeling of the prying eyes.
Once at the cafe, he spotted Felix and Seungmin standing outside in wait.
"Hi, guys!" The blonde greeted, running up to hug the pair.
He still felt those eyes.
As Seungmin pulled away, he couldn't help but notice that the boy looked uneasy.
"Is something wrong, Ji?" The taller interrogated the smaller, concern lacing his voice.
Jisung shrugged, glancing down at his shoes. "I can't shake the feeling that I'm being watched. But I know I'm probably just being paranoid."
Glancing back up at his friends, he questioned in a worry filled tone, "Right?"
Both males exchanged looks before pulling the younger inside the building, reassuring the boy that he was safe.
But Jisung was far from safe in the eyes of the observer.

Chan sat in his car, slowly tailing the blonde as he ventured towards his favorite cafe.He assumed the younger was going to meet up with his friends.
Jisung hardly ever went out by himself, Chan noticed.
Maybe it's because he's fearful of bumping into someone from school, or maybe he just isn't able to be in public alone.
Either way, he's never alone.
Chan is always there for him.
He'll always be there for him.
As the older watched Jisung hug his friends, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy course through his veins.
Chan knows he shouldn't be feeling this way, as Jisung isn't his yet.
But he almost can't help it.
In Chan's mind, Jisung is his. He belongs to Chan.
Jisung just doesn't know it yet.
