Lee Know made a rule: no talking about Hannah inside the house. He didn't want to hear about her, think about her, or even acknowledge that she existed.
But, as the trio sat down for dinner, Jisung's mind was focused on her words from the other day. When they give you a choice to leave, are you going to stay?
He wasn't aware he would ever get a chance to willingly leave. That sounds very unlike Chan, to be honest. And maybe it is. Maybe Hannah said that purely to rile Chan up and mess with Jisung.
He wanted to ask so badly, but he knew Lee Know didn't want to talk about it, since the conversation involved Hannah, and Chan flat out refused to discuss anything Hannah said that wasn't new information to him.
Which, honestly, this past week of speaking with Hannah has been good yet detrimental for Jisung. He was learning a lot about Chan and the family, which he rather enjoyed. But, he was also being subjected to Chan's jealousy-induced after-sessions. It was mostly just love bites, kissing, and a lot of teasing, so it wasn't that bad.
Jisung was just worried it was going to escalate eventually. He knows how intense Chan can be, and with them always being at the office, Lee Know isn't there to moderate and ensure Jisung's safety.
"Sweets?" Lee Know called out, "Is everything alright? You've hardly touched your dinner."
Glancing down, Jisung noticed his still practically full plate and sighed, pushing the meal away. "Can I be excused?" Lee Know only nodded, watching with worried eyes as their beloved made his way upstairs.
As soon as he was out of sight, the blonde was reaching over to smack his boyfriend. "Ow. What was that for?" Chan whined.
"What are you and your sister doing to him?" Lee Know questioned before laying another smack to the older's arm. Chan groaned slightly from the sting, "He's the one who wanted to get closer to her, love. He'll be okay, there's just a lot to process."
The blonde pouted, glancing at the uneaten meal beside him. He was worried about the smaller, wanting to know what was going through his head.
Lee Know had no idea what Hannah had been filling his mind with since he made it very clear that he didn't want to be involved, but he was beginning to regret his decision. He wanted to know what his beloved was going through.
"They're growing rather close." Chan stated, knowing deep down that Lee Know wanted to be involved, even if he didn't say it out loud.
Hannah and Lee Know have never gotten along, so he's not surprised that his boyfriend wants nothing to do with her. Chan didn't want anything to do with her, either. If it were up to Chan, Hannah would have been executed the second she gave up everything she knew.
That's not to say it won't still happen. Anything and everything is on the table until her contacts are dealt with, or until the family comes to a decision.
"Lee Know." Chan started, reaching over to take hold of his boyfriend's hand. "Go talk to him. I know you said you didn't want to talk about her, but you both need this."
"Okay, honey." Lee Know smiled, squeezing his boyfriend's hand in return before going to speak with their beloved.
The blonde ventured up towards Jisung's room, knocking softly on the door. "Come in."
Peaking inside, Lee Know noticed Jisung texting on his phone, probably to his friends. "Hi, sweets. Do you have a minute?"
Jisung nodded, putting his phone down to give the older his full attention as the latter sat across from him on the mattress.
"I just wanted to know if there was anything heavy on your mind. I know I said I didn't want to discuss Hannah, or what's going on in that building, but I want you to know that I'm here for you regardless." Lee Know gazed into Jisung's eyes as he spoke, hoping that he was conveying the message he wanted to send.
"Can I ask you a question?" The blonde immediately nodded, becoming all ears for his beloved. "Hannah asked if I would stay whenever given the chance to leave. She made it seem like...that one day, I'd be given the choice."
Lee Know's hopeful expression of being supportive to his beloved fell, and that was all that Jisung needed to know. He was never going to be given the opportunity to leave.
"Sweets." Lee Know started, not really knowing what to say. Hannah clearly said that to fuck with Jisung, and that made the older rather upset. He wasn't surprised, though. Hannah was always a little shit. Good to know she hasn't changed, Lee Know thought.
"Do you really want to leave us that badly?" The blonde questioned in a soft voice, his eyes now glued to the duvet below him. Silence fell over the duo, causing the older's nerves to skyrocket. After a couple of minutes, Jisung finally spoke up, "No."
Letting out a large sigh, Jisung added, "But I want to live a normal life. I had goals. I don't like being stuck in this house twenty-four-seven, wondering if Master is going to hurt me again, and having to watch every little thing I say or do. I miss seeing my friends and going out with them to do things. I..." Jisung trailed off, seeing the older's silent tears streaming down his face.
Crawling over to Lee Know, Jisung straddled his waist before lifting his face up with his hands on the blonde's cheeks. "I still love you, Oppa. None of this means that I don't love you."
Lee Know nodded at the smaller's confession, wrapping his arms around the boy's torso and pulling him into a hug. The blonde buried his face into the boy's shoulder, letting the tears flow as he breathed in the comforting scent of his beloved.
"Please, don't leave me, sweets." Lee Know mumbled against the fabric of the younger's t-shirt. Jisung's heart ached at the older's pleas, his hold around the older becoming slightly tighter. "I won't, Oppa. I promise."
