"Ji, can we ask you something?" Seungmin's voice sounded gentle on the other end of the line.
"Of course, Min." Jisung fiddled with the fabric of his duvet as he waited for his friends to ask their questions.
The puppy sighed before speaking, "Do you know what happened to your parents?"
The question sounded more rhetorical than anything, almost as if they already knew the answer.
"I do." Jisung's voice was quiet, feeling sad, but in the way you'd feel sad for the death of a stranger. "Did they get a funeral?"
"They did. It felt like half the town appeared." Felix responded, his tone weary as he spoke. "Everyone was speaking about you."
Jisung furrowed his brows together as he questioned why. Nobody had ever shown any interest in the boy, so he was confused as to why people all of a sudden cared about his whereabouts.
"The entire town thinks you're dead, or worse, in another country being traded off." Felix was always a blunt person, his matter-of-fact tone not bothering the smaller.
"Oh." Ji responded, hanging his head. "I didn't think anyone would notice."
The line fell silent as Seungmin and Felix's hearts shattered.
"Ji." Seungmin whispered, "You didn't really think that nobody loved you, did you?"
Lee Know peaked his head into the smaller's bedroom, ready to ask him if he'd like to watch a movie with him and Chan, when he realized their beloved was on the phone.
Hiding behind the door, the blonde eavesdropped on the smaller and his friends.
"I know you and Felix love me." Jisung responded before adding, "But I also know that I'm just a burden or waste of space to everyone else."
Lee Know's heart shattered at his beloved's words.
He doesn't think that with us, does he?
"Ji." Seungmin's voice cracked as they realized the severity of their friend's feelings.
They knew he felt alone because of his parent's lack of love, but they had no idea he felt that way about everyone else around him.
"It's okay, though." Jisung sniffled back his tears, "I have Master and Oppa now. So that's two more people who love me."
Felix sighed, "I think love is a strong word. I think they're infatuated with you, Ji. But, I am glad that they care for you. Seungmin and I could really see how much they care about you the other day at the mall."
"The gym rat has a weird way of showing it, but I think he does deep down." Seungmin added, causing Jisung to giggle, "You guys are still calling him the gym rat?"
"Oh, absolutely." Felix smiled, his friend's giggles bringing joy to his heart.
"I was so happy to see you guys. I've missed you a lot." Jisung confessed, the other two boys agreeing immediately.
"But," Jisung started, "If we get to spend time together again, you're gonna have to keep your hands to yourself, Lix. Master didn't li-"
"That gym rat can go fuck himself, you were mine first." Felix huffed, causing the other two boys to sigh with small smiles.
Deciding to stop eavesdropping, Lee Know knocked on the door, alerting the brunette of his presence. "Hi, sweets. Are you hungry?"
Jisung smiled, "Yeah. I'll be down in a minute, Oppa."
The blonde mirrored the brunette's smile before taking his leave.
"I'll text you guys later. Bye, Min. Bye, Lix."
"Bye, Ji!" Seungmin and Felix shouted before hanging up their end of the line.
Jisung trotted downstairs, a small smile tugging at his lips as he found Chan and Lee Know in the kitchen.
"What's got you all smiley, doll?" Chan questioned, gesturing for the younger to come closer.
"I'm just happy." Jisung admitted, allowing the older to pull him onto his lap, Chan wrapping his arms around the boy's waist to ensure he didn't fall.
Lee Know and Chan shared a glance before the blonde spoke, "Well, what would you make you happy for dinner?"
Thinking for a moment, Jisung looked back at Chan. "What would you like, Master?"
"I know what I'd like." Chan teased, placing a gentle kiss to the smaller's neck.
Jisung blushed deeply, looking to Lee Know for help, only to see him giggling. "Honey, stop teasing him."
"Just make something simple, love. I want to watch our movie." Chan spoke, earning a nod from the blonde as he began to prepare dinner.
Turning to face the older once more, Jisung questioned what movie they were going to watch.
"There's a new romance movie out." Lee Know beamed, beyond excited.
Chan, on the other hand, was only watching it for his boyfriend.
The brunette gasped, loving romance movies. He himself was a hopeless romantic, so watching movies with everything he wished he could experience was the next best option.
Chan smiled lovingly, admiring the younger on his lap.
As much as he didn't like romance anything, he'd watch these movies with Lee Know, and now Jisung, just to see them happy. He loved the sparkles in their eyes as the scenes played out.
"Oh, doll. I almost forgot." Chan spoke up, his fingers rubbing slow circles onto the smaller's thigh as he spoke, "We'll be going to an event this weekend, the three of us."
Jisung furrowed his brows together, glancing at Lee Know for some kind of clarification.
"Once a year, there's a celebration held for Chan's father. It's kind of like a ball. Everyone dresses up, drinks, and eats appetizers all night."
The brunette gulped, wondering if it were only going to be mafia members there. That sounded intimidating and terrifying to the boy.
"Is that...Is that really safe?" Jisung questioned softly, earning a squeeze from the male behind him.
"Don't worry, doll. Nobody would dare hurt you or Lee Know." Placing a small kiss to the boy's cheek, Chan added, "Plus, it's my favorite time of year. I get to showcase my boyfriend, now boyfriends, to everyone."
Jisung's cheeks tinted pink, both from the kiss and the title of boyfriend.
"It'll be fun, sweets. We can all coordinate, and you and I can match!" Lee Know squealed with excitement, resulting in both Chan and Jisung smiling at the blonde and how precious he was.
Maybe it could be fun?
