Chan couldn't sleep without his boyfriend by his side, which allowed him to think about why Lee Know was mad at him.
In Chan's eyes, he had done nothing wrong.
Don't ever make me do what you do to our beloved ever again.
The blonde's words repeated inside his mind throughout the night, haunting him as he tried to understand why his boyfriend was so upset.
Finally shaking the thoughts away, Chan got up from bed, deciding he was going to go talk with his men about the Han's and what to do about Felix and Seungmin.
He promised he wouldn't hurt them, but with the Han's now missing, he knew it was only going to escalate their curiosity.
And we all know that curiosity killed the cat.
As Chan walked into the hallway, he ran into Jisung, who smiled sheepishly up at him, "Morning, Master."
"Good morning, doll. Did you sleep well?"
Jisung nodded before heading downstairs, frowning once he didn't see Lee Know in the kitchen.
But he's always up early to make breakfast, Jisung pouted, wondering if the older was okay.
As he began to turn around to head back up the stairs, Chan stopped him. "How about we go out for brunch?"
"Will Oppa be joining us?" The smaller questioned softly, nervous to be alone with Chan.
Sighing, the older shook his head, "Lee Know needs some time to himself."
Jisung thought back on the words Chan spoke to him after he attempted suicide, telling him that he was going to try to be more gentle.
And, so, he decided to accept the invitation to eat breakfast with the male.
-
Chan took Jisung to a rather fancy restaurant for brunch, and even though the place was beautiful, Jisung felt out of place. It was going to take a lot for the smaller to get used to the duo's lavish lifestyle.
He wasn't sure which he would get used to first; the duo's polar opposite love languages or their lifestyle.
"You look beautiful today, doll." Chan spoke over his menu as he admired the younger.
Jisung's cheeks turned a soft shade of pink as he thanked the older for the compliment.
He didn't see why he looked beautiful, he was only wearing black skinny jeans with a graphic crop top. But he wasn't going to deny the compliment.
As their waiter walked up, he was giving the smaller heart eyes as he questioned, "Are you both ready to order?"
Jisung pointed to what he wanted in hopes that Chan would understand that he didn't feel comfortable speaking up, and luckily, he did.
As Chan gave the waiter his orders, he couldn't help but notice how the male kept stealing glances at his beloved.
He decided to ignore it, not wanting to start something in front of the younger, knowing it would make his anxiety skyrocket.
Finally walking away with the duo's orders, Chan could breathe. And so could Jisung.
"Is something wrong, Master?" Jisung questioned, leaning in closer to speak the last part, not really wanting others to hear him call the older by such a name.
"Everything is perfect, doll."
Jisung didn't fully believe Chan, seeing how he looked at their waiter. But he also saw how their waiter was looking at him, so he had a hunch as to why he was upset.
The smaller wondered, with how obsessive Chan seems to be, what would happen if he brought up the waiter. He can be an instigator, too.
"Master?" The younger called out gently, earning a hum from the male. "Can we request a different waiter?"
Chan's eyes snapped to meet the younger's, "Why do you ask?"
Is that son of a bitch making my baby uncomfortable? I'll have him fired if Jisung requests it.
Glancing down at the table, Jisung shifted in his seat before responding, "I don't know. He just kept giving me looks and..." He trailed off, shaking his head. "Never mind, I think I'm just imagining things."
Reaching over, Chan took hold of Jisung's hand, "Is that man making you uncomfortable, doll?"
Biting his lip, Jisung nodded. He wasn't lying, the man did make him uncomfortable. He didn't like anyone looking at him the way their waiter was.
And it's not like he was speaking up just because he's with Chan. He would have told Felix and Seungmin the same thing.
Chan waved someone over, whispering something in their ear, before the male walked off.
After a few moments, a different waiter approached their table, smiling warmly at the two, "Can I get you guys any refills?"
Chan nodded, thanking the waiter, and giving Jisung a gentle smile.
Their brunch went smoothly after that, both males making light conversation throughout.
Jisung didn't want to open up to Chan. He didn't feel comfortable enough around the older in order to do so.
But with every passing moment, he could almost feel that the older had changed. Even though he still had that hungry look in his eyes, he seemed more gentle and warm. And Jisung liked that.
Once finished with their meal, the duo began to make their leave.
Chan had forgotten that he was planning on seeing his men today. He was too occupied with his beloved, who, for once, was smiling in his presence.
Today was going well for the duo. It was going great, actually.
That was until the duo arrived home to find Lee Know had left.
I'm going to visit my parents for a few days. Please behave.
Chan sighed, wondering if his boyfriend was truly angry with him. He wouldn't know until the blonde arrived home, which made him feel worse.
Turning to face the pouting Jisung, who already missed the blonde, he smiled. "Don't worry, doll. Master will take great care of you."
