"Are you ready, sweets?" Lee Know questioned softly as he peaked into the younger's bedroom.
Jisung was staring at his reflection, lost in his own memories of Hannah as he took in his appearance. He always hated wearing solid black, the complete lack of color always seeming to dampen his mood.
But, he would do it for Hannah. He needed to go say goodbye. He needed to go apologize.
"I'm ready." His voice was betraying him, his tone dull and lifeless as he held back his tears.
The Kim's had agreed to allow Lee Know and Chan to attend the memorial, as long as they promised to not cause anything. Chan had agreed, which came as a shock to everyone. But, he wasn't going to ruin this for Jisung.
The three of them began their departure, the ride to the graveyard silent as it sank in. Hannah was never coming back.
Jisung watched the scenery pass, a smile tugging at his lips as he remembered the few moments him and Hannah got to spend together.
"Sweets? Did you hear me?" Lee Know turned in his seat to look at the younger, a feeling of sadness washing over him as he spotted the boy staring aimlessly out the window.
Resting his hand on the other's knee, Jisung's attention was finally brought to the blonde. "Huh?"
Lee Know smiled gently, "I asked if you wanted to grab dinner after the memorial. Anywhere you'd like."
The brunette only nodded in response before going back to watching the buildings pass by.
"Honey," Lee Know started, leaning in closer to his boyfriend so that they could converse quietly. "Thank you for letting our beloved go say his goodbyes. I think he really needs this."
Chan glanced at his boyfriend, offering a small smile in return, before placing his focus back onto the road.
After what seemed like forever, the trio finally arrived at the graveyard. They parked farther away, not wanting to be too close.
As they got out, Lee Know placed a gentle kiss to the boy's forehead, Chan placing a kiss to his temple afterward. "Go ahead, sweets. We'll wait here."
"You're not coming with?" Jisung furrowed his brows in confusion, glancing over at the crowd that had gathered for Hannah. He could immediately spot Seungmin and Felix, their gaze focused on the trio across the yard.
Chan shook his head gently, "We can't, doll. Lee Know and I will pay our respects after. You go ahead."
Jisung nodded, trying to understand as he made his way across the yard and towards his friends.
Seungmin and Felix offered him a hug as he neared, the brunette taking in their acts of affection without a second thought. He'd accept the punishment later if Chan didn't like the show of affection.
"Jisung, darling." Mrs. Kim neared, offering the boy a hug. Without hesitation, he accepted, finding comfort in her arms.
He sniffled back a couple tears as he whispered, "I'm sorry. For Hannah."
Mrs. Kim leaned back just as Mr. Kim approached, resting his hand on the boy's shoulder. "You don't have anything to apologize for, darling."
Jisung only nodded before the ceremony began. Everyone gathered around as they listened to the eulogy, tears in everyone's eyes.
Chan and Lee Know listened from afar, their hands intertwined. "Are you going to say goodbye?" Lee Know inquired.
Silence fell over the two before Chan let out an exasperated sigh, "I never even said hello, why would I say goodbye?"
The blonde knew that Chan regretted his decision. He acted out of anger and pain, deciding on the future of his little sister without hesitation.
And Chan did regret it. Despite Hannah being a traitor in the eyes of the family, she was still a Bang. She was his little sister. And he killed her.
But, Lee Know knows his boyfriend best. He knows that Chan will never accept that what he did was wrong, or how much internal conflict it's caused him. Chan's far too prideful. Lee Know wishes he'd still say goodbye, though.
So, the blonde just squeezes his lover's hand just a little bit tighter as they begin to lower Hannah's casket into the ground, offering a sense of acknowledgment that he was there for Chan.
The two glance towards Jisung, hearts shattering as they see him crying into Seungmin's chest. The taller offers a safe place for the brunette, his own tears silent as they fall to the ground.
Seungmin's eyes scan the yard, soon meeting those of the older two.
They lock eyes for a moment before the puppy diverts his attention towards his father, who requests that Jisung be the one to place the final flower in her grave before they seal it.
The taller tells Jisung that he'll be right back, asking Felix to make sure their friend isn't left alone. Of course, he agrees, offering a warm embrace to the crying boy.
One by one, everyone is handed a flower. And one by one, everyone goes to say their goodbyes before tossing a flower into the grave.
Jisung stops Mrs. Kim as she hands out the flowers, requesting two for Lee Know and Chan. "I know they can't come over and toss one in for her, so I'd like to be able to do it for them."
Mrs. Kim glanced toward the couple standing respectfully at the end of the yard before her attention was back on Jisung, a gentle smile on her lips. "Go, give these to them. They should be allowed to say goodbye."
Jisung was shocked at her response, but took the two flowers and headed towards the older two regardless.
As he neared, he offered the two flowers, earning hesitation and uncertainty. But, Chan was the first to accept the flower, Lee Know following suit.
Jisung smiled gently, seeing the soft side of Chan come out as the two followed him back to the group of people gathered around.
The Kim's had all said their goodbyes, the trio approaching being the only ones left to offer their flowers.
Mr. and Mrs. Kim offered quick and small bows to Chan and Lee Know, the duo mirroring their actions out of respect. Not a single word was muttered between families, neither having anything to say.
Lee Know tossed in his flower, clearing his throat before speaking, "We never got along, but I hope you rest well."
Jisung was next, sniffling back tears as he said goodbye. "I'll miss you. Thank you, for everything. I'm sorry we couldn't have had more time together."
Chan was last, the crowd listening intently with their heads bowed as The Bang Chan spoke over his sister's grave.
Tossing the flower in, all he had to say was four little words. "I love you, Hannah."
