Chan made his way towards the table, his heart pounding in his chest as anger coursed through his veins.

How dare anyone try to fuck with my baby? Chan thought to himself, only fueling his own hatred for the duo.

As the fuming male neared the table, a hand was placed on his shoulder, stopping him from nearing the boys.

Glancing over, he noticed it was Changbin.

"Move, Bin." Chan growled, clearly angry with his friend.

"I can't let you harm them, Chan. Especially not in front of Jisung."

They both glanced over at the boys, seeing how uncomfortable Jisung was with the two chatting with him and his friends.

Chan groaned, turning back to go to his table.

You're lucky you're my friend, Bin.

Changbin approached the table, his hands shoved into his pockets as he greeted the group of kids.

"Mr. Seo." Hyunjin and Jeongin greeted, their eyes falling to the floor.

"What's going on here, Hyunjin? You guys picking on these boys?"

Jeongin started to defend himself and his friend but was cut off by the gym teacher.

"Just because you're off school property doesn't mean you can taunt and tease the students."

Glancing between the dynamic duo and the annoyed trio, Changbin sighed.

"Just go home. Leave these boys alone."

Hyunjin and Jeongin only nodded, knowing that they wouldn't be able to get past Mr. Seo.

He's always had a liking towards Jisung, which the other students saw as him being sympathetic for the fragile boy.

If only they knew.

As Hyunjin and Jeongin took their leave, Changbin smiled towards the table.

"Sorry to interrupt, boys. Have a good night!"

Changbin walked back towards Chan and Lee Know's table, nodding his head as a sign that the deed was done.

Chan huffed, glad the boys were gone but upset he wasn't the one to handle it.

But Lee Know and Changbin made good points.

He doesn't want to frighten Jisung or cause a scene in front of the younger.

That would only put a bad first impression on the male, and he didn't want that.

Lee Know and Chan have been doing their best to stay out of the light until it's time, not wanting to cause any confusion or fright to the young boy.

But Jisung had seen Chan walk towards their table.

Jisung had seen Mr. Seo confront the male, calming him down enough to have him go sit back down.

Jisung had noticed, for the first time, the eyes that had been watching over him.

"Can I ask you guys something?" Jisung questioned softly as him and his friends walked home.

"Anything, Ji."

The blonde sighed, "Did you notice that guy walk towards our table? Before Mr. Seo approached us?"

Felix and Seungmin exchanged glances, trying to think back to that moment.

"Do you mean the dark haired gym rat looking guy?" Seungmin spoke up, causing Felix and Jisung to chuckle. "Yeah, that guy."

"Wait, don't call him a gym rat, he looks similar to Mr. Seo! That'd be insulting Mr. Seo too."

Felix paused, stating matter-of-factly, "But Mr. Seo is a gym rat."

The three boys laughed as they agreed.

"What about the guy, though, Ji?" Seungmin circled back to the question, curious as to why Jisung brought up the male.

"I don't know how to explain it. It felt like I knew him. But not in a traditional sense."

Felix and Seungmin exchanged glances once more, waiting for the male to continue.

"I could feel those eyes on me the entire time we were in that restaurant. I genuinely thought it was Hyunjin and Jeongin, but as that guy approached, it was almost like I could tell that it was him."

Felix's mouth dropped. "You're being stalked by a hot gym rat? So unfair."

The trio burst out laughing, Jisung pushing Felix jokingly.

"I'm sure it was just a coincidence, Ji. He was probably just a concerned citizen that happened to be there while you felt that presence."

Seungmin patted the blonde's shoulder, everyone nodding in agreement.

I don't know, Jisung thought. He looked more than concerned, he looked furious. The kind of furious a lover is towards the safety of their partner.

Jisung shook off the thoughts as him, Felix, and Seungmin came to their departure.

The three boys hugged each other goodbye, each of them now going their separate ways.

While Jisung walked home in the cool air, he couldn't get the images of the male out of his head.

Why did he look like he was coming to protect me? Like he was furious that Hyunjin and Jeongin were even around our table?

How does he know Mr. Seo?

Once home, Jisung decided to push the thoughts of the mysterious male aside.

After entering, Jisung noticed that his parents were still awake, both of them seated at the table.

All eyes were on Jisung as he entered the house, making the boy uncomfortable.

"Jisung, come have a seat." His father motioned towards an empty spot on the opposite side of his parents.

Jisung hesitantly did as told, eyeing his parents the entire time.

"Graduation is around the corner." His mother pointed out, sounding like she was genuinely trying to make conversation.

Jisung only nodded, confused as to why his parents were talking with him.

This was the most attention his parents had given him in years. And he didn't like it.

"Do you have a college picked out?" She questioned, her eyes full of hope.

"What is this about?" Jisung glanced between both his parents, looking genuinely confused.

They both sighed, his mother speaking up first. "We have realized how dull and distant we have been towards you. And we were hoping that we could-"

"No." Jisung interrupted his mother, both of his parents looking shocked.

"You've had years to come into my life. And now that I'm almost out of the house, you want to come back? No."

Jisung stood up and walked off to his room, leaving his parents there, confused and hurt.
