chapter 2 the capture

It had been about two hours of dancing, laughing, and drinking. I decided to go out and get some fresh air. "ALEC!" I yelled over to him. He came over. "Ya what's going on?" He asked. "I'm going to go get some fresh air. I'll be back In a few ok?" I asked. He took my hand and walked me to the door. "I will see you in a few then?" He asked. "Yes you will. Go tell lyla and everyone where I am so they know. Ok?" I asked. He nodded and left. I walked outside to the fountain. I sat on the edge and looked up at the sky. The stars were so beautiful tonight. As I was looking at the stars something flashed and caught my eye from the bushes. I thought maybe it was a cat so I went over to see. I walked over to the bushes and looked to see if something was in there. I reached in with my arm and touched something. It felt...scaly. I pulled my arm away and looked up. All I saw was this huge thing. It walked over the bushes and into the light of the street lamp. It was a dragon. I thought those didn't exist. I backed up and it flapped its wings. It started flying and then grabbed me in its claws. "AHHH! WHAT THE HELL!" I screamed. There was a man on top of it. "Please keep quiet you are upsetting the dragon. You don't want to be food do you?" "WHAT! Food you would let this thing eat me!!" I asked him. "No I was kidding. He won't eat you although I wouldn't blame him if he wanted to. You are very loud." He said back. "Ok then. So uh one question what's going on!" I asked. "Ah you will find out soon enough." He replied. I decided to try and flip over onto my back. It didnt work. I was on my belly. I used his talon as a pillow. Even though it wasn't comfortable I slept anyways.

When I woke up the next morning I was in a bed. The blankets were blue along with the walls and curtains. The carpet was green. I pulled off the blankets and got up. I was still in my dress from last night. It was ripped now. I walked into the bathroom and washed off my face. When I came back out there was a man leaning on the door frame. "Good morning. Did you sleep Ok?" He asked. "Yes I did actually" I replied. He smiled. "Good. Then you will be good for training today then?" He asked. "Training what? Where am I anyways?" I asked. "Alright Niki sit down and I'll explain. See you originally came from here but moved to new York when you were only 2. Or so this is what I was told. Anyways, since you are from here you have special, I guess I could say, powers? You can do almost anything with your mind and with the training you need, you will be able to do almost anything. And where you are? You are in masinaw. This is going to be your room during your training. And I know what your thinking, how will you get home? Well once your training is done we will take you home." When he finished talking I got up. "So I need to stay here, do training, and then I can leave?" I asked. "Yep. Oh! I brought you some clothes they are on your table by the window. I'll be outside so get changed and I'll be waiting. We start training after breakfast." He said. "Ok." I answered as I walked to the table. I got changed and walked out the door. He was standing just outside my door. "Ready?" He asked. I nodded and we headed off down the hall.
