chapter 28 off to dinner

I woke up on a couch. "Good morning Niki. Sleep well?" I heard a voice come from somewhere. I looked around. The room was dark. "There's a lamp on the table behind your head if you would like some light." He said again. I sat up and reached over to find the bottom of the lamp. I went up the lamp and found the twisty thing to turn it on. It illuminated the room. It was a small room. There was a pillow beside me and the blanket was on the floor. There was a painting of a mountain on the wall and a window looking out over the tree tops. The room was short and stubby, if thats what you would call it. "I hope you like it. You will be staying here for a while. Unless you cooperate." I stood up and looked behind me. There was a speaker with a camera. "What do you want from me?! Who are you?!" I was looking straight at the camera. "Oh I can't tell you that. You might have someone listening." I heard a switch flick. "Hey! What do you want from me?!" I asked. I waved my arms. "HEY I ASKED YOU A QUESTION!" I yelled as I waved my arms. He wasn't listening. I sat down on the couch. I looked down on the floor. There was a note. I had stepped on it so it crumpled a bit. I opened it up and it said:
Dearest Niki,
I realize that you may think you are being held captive, you are not. You are only in this room because you had passed out and we needed a place for you to rest and wake up. When you are ready for dinner there is a door in the wall that you cannot see but if you push on it, it will open. By the way there is a blue dress under the couch in the drawer. The shoes are just outside the door. You will be our guest tonight so we want you to dress nicely. There are things you do not know about what is really going on so we are here to tell you. You may come down when ever you feel ready and we will wait until you do.

Marcus and Tito? Who are they? I guess I'll get ready and go see what this is all about. I opened the drawer to see a beautiful sky blue dress that was cut on a slant at the bottom and lined with sparkles. It had a sweet heart neckline. It was so pretty. I got changed and found a brush and a blue hair pin in the drawer. I pinned up my hair after brushing it and pushed on the wall to find the door. After a few tries I found it. I pushed on it and it went out and swung open. I stepped out and saw the shoes. They were a darker blue and when I put my foot in. I had to zip them up about knee high. It looked like ribbons weaved. They weren't boots but high heels with ribbons all the way down my leg. All of a sudden lights turned on and I saw a long hall way. I hadn't worn heels for a while so I slowly started my long walk to dinner.
