chapter 19 just getting settled

Detrius had explained everything to her and my mom was so surprised on what we went through. "So you went back to masinaw and did training and then came back here? Why was I not informed about the fact that she had to go back?" She asked Detrius. "Well we wanted to tell you but we had scanned the area and you weren't traced anywhere nearby where we could tell you." He said. She sat for a second. "Ok well as long as you are safe. I have to get back to the store but make yourself at home you two." She went back down stairs and Detrius and I sat and watched TV. He had never seen a TV so he didn't know why we needed it. They didn't have them there. "Look." I said picking up the remote. I turned it on and he watched as it showed the channels screen. I picked my still favourite channel. Game shows were my favourite, it was like funny trivia. We watched for a while and then I turned it off. We went into my room. I hadn't been in there for a while. My mom had cleaned it though. So it wasn't dirty. I sat down on my bed and looked around. Detrius was standing in the door. I patted the spot beside me. He sat down. "So this is your house. Its nice I like it." He said. I looked over at him and saw that he was smiling. I could see his fangs.they suited him. I turned his head to face mine. He was surprised for a second. He stopped smiling. "What is something on my face?" He asked. I remembered that was the first thing he had said to me when we were walking to the cafeteria. "Nope just never seen purple eyes before." I said. He smiled. I loved his smile. He had that charm that no one could resist. I knew that because almost every girl that was in the arena would stare at him while we trained. Even if I was with him. I didn't care though. I knew he loved me and that was all that mattered to me. We ended up laying on the bed. I felt something on my leg and I sat up. Detrius sat up too. "DEMERIOUS!" I almost screamed. Detrius got a little scared. My cat came up to me and cuddled my face. Detrius was a little confused. I looked over and laughed. I took his hand and put it on demerious's fur. He stroked the cat gently. He smiled. "He's soft. What is it? we never had these pets." He asked. "This is a cat. He was my best friend here. But now I have two best friends. You and him." I told Detrius. He smiled. My cat jumped off the bed and left. I looked up at him. I kissed him softly on the lips. I heard someone walking in the hall. It sounded like work boots. I pulled away from Detrius and got up. "Just a second." I said. I looked out into the hall. There was a man walking into my moms room. I walked over. "Hi." I said. He turned around and smiled. "Oh you must be the new maid we hired!" He said. I looked confused. "Well chop chop. Get cleaning!" He said. "Who are you and why do you think that you can tell me what to do?" I asked him. He looked confused. "Now you look here young lady-" he walked forward. "You listen to me now!"
