chapter 12 my last day

It had been a week but I healed faster this time. I walked out of the hospital even though I wasn't allowed to yet. No one saw me leave. I went down to my room. I opened the door as quietly as possible just in case Detrius was sleeping in here. I snuck around. The blankets had been ruffled so I figured he had been here. I heard the shower turn off. He was still in here. He walked out with a towel around his waist. He looked at me. "Niki! What are you doing here?" He asked. "Um I'm not sitting in that hospital any more. Its boring in there and I miss being around you." I answered. He smiled. He walked back into the bathroom. When he came back out he had jeans on. My cuts didn't hurt any more so I walked over and hugged him. He hugged me to him. When ever he hugged me, it was like I was being wrapped in the best blanket ever. I looked up at him and smiled. "I love you." I said to him. He smiled. "I love you too princess." He answered back. He bent down some and kissed me. I leaned into him. I found it a little funny how he had to bend down to kiss me. I felt him smile on my lips. I smiled too. I looked his face over. He had perfect teeth and the best eyes I have ever seen. "Detrius. I wanted to ask you, um are you coming with me back to new york?" I asked. He smiled. He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. "Well where else am I going to be?" I smiled and then kissed him. I pulled away. "I had to make sure just in case you had to stay because if you did then I was staying too." I said. He smiled and hugged me to him. My legs still wrapped around him. He put me Down and we sat down on the bed. We layed there for a while until someone knocked on the door. I got up and he went in to the bathroom. No one knew we had been staying in the same room. I opened the door. It was Hercules. "Hey herc what's up?" I said pushing my red hair back off of my face. "Why aren't you in the hospital?" He asked. "I didn't want to sit in there anymore. Besides it doesn't even hurt any more." I told him. He nodded. "Can I come in?" He asked. I nodded and let him in. He walked in and sat on the bed. "Detrius I know your in the bathroom you can come out." He said. Detrius walked out. "How did you know I was in there?" He asked. "I saw your shirt on the bed." He said with a laugh. Detrius sat on the other side of the bed. "So Niki you do know that you have to leave tomorrow right?" He asked. "Yep I just need tonpack my clothes and weapons and then I'm good." I said to him. "Alright thats all I was here for. Just wanted to make sure you knew. I'll see you tomorrow then." He said. He opened the door and left. I layed down on the bed and Detrius layed back putting his head on my stomach. I ran my hands through his black fluffy hair. He smiled. "Detrius? Everything is going to be Ok right?" I asked. He took my hand and laced fingers. "Yes as long as I'm with you. Everything will be fine." He kissed my hand and closed his eyes. I was still thinking about it and decided that its better to not think about it for now and to just sleep. I slowly dozed off while watching his chest move up and down.
