chapter 25 the vacation

I watched for a moment and then I got through the crowd of people. I stepped between the two of them before they could lunge at each other. Detrius stopped and so did Caine. "WHAT IS GOING ON!?" I yelled at them. "You tell me! What was with the flying and being on the roof! Huh?!" Detrius said. "No he just wanted to show me what it was like nothing actually happened. Detrius just please calm down. Let's go talk." He gave me a look of I Dont know what but I knew he was upset. I took his hand and we walked away. Caine flew off and we went inside. We stopped in the hall way. "Niki why were you with him!" He said very upset still. "Detrius you left and so did herc. I wasn't going to sit around alone so we went to the roof and he said he wanted to show me something. Next thing I knew he had wings. I asked what he was doing and then he picked me up and jumped off and started to fly. I didn't have a choice! Next time just wait for me to tell you what happened. Ok?" I asked. He had sat down on the floor, his legs spread out and his hands over his face. I sat down between his legs and took his hands away from his face. He looked at me and I saw in his eyes that he was sorry. "Niki I didn't mean to start anything. Its part of my splice I do things before I think about them. I'm sorry Niki. I'm so sorry." He looked so disappointed in himself. I put my hands on his cheeks and made him face me. Once he was looking at me I let go of his face and took his hands. I put them on my cheeks and then pressed them so that my face was squished. He smiled. He wasn't as upset now. He kept his hands there and I took mine away. I put them on his cheeks and squished his face. We sat there for a few seconds. He started laughing and it made it even funnier so then I started to laugh. We both let go. I turned around and layed back onto his chest. He looked down at me. He kissed the top of my head and I looked up. He was smiling. I always have loved his smile and I always will. "Detrius?" "Yea princess?" I waited a few seconds. "You know I have had so much fun here with you and all the new people I met. I Dont think my life can get any better than this. I was thinking and maybe we should go somewhere. Just for a while. It can be you me and razcar if he wants to come. I think it would be fun. How about it?" I asked. He smiled. "That would be the best thing ever. When should we go?" I thought about it for a minute. "His about tonight. We can pack really quick and go. No one has to know. We can just leave!" I said. He smiled. "Why not. Lets do it!" He stood up and picked me up with him. He flung me over his shoulder and walked back to his room like that. We packed our clothes and some first aid supplies. I had talked to razcar and he said he would come with in case we needed him. When it was dark we got all of our things packed onto razcar and we hopped on. We flew to a nice place with a clearing for us to sleep at. Now this, I thought to myself, this is going to be fun.
