chapter 6 the dream

We had talked it over with the main person in charge they said he could stay here as my guard. They said he had to sleep either in my bathroom or on the floor by the door. He said he would be fine with either one. We went back to my room and hung out for the day. I figured training could start tomorrow. It was getting late and Detrius was making his bed by the door. I asked him to sleep there because I wanted to be able to see him if I woke up. I had been sleeping for about an hour and I woke up. Detrius was sleeping still. The bathroom light was on again. I saw the same shadow. I got out of bed quietly this time and I went over to Detrius. I shook him and he rolled over. I saw his neck at ripped to shreds. I screamed and the thing ran out at me and I screamed again. I woke up screaming. I realised it had been a dream. But when I woke up I had tears all down my face and I had been screaming. Detrius had woken up and ran over to me. "Niki are you alright!" He asked looking around for whatever scared me. I reached my hand out and he took it. I pulled him onto the bed and hugged him. He shifted so that he was leaning up against the wall on his back and he lifted me onto his lap. I had my head on his chest and he was holding me like a baby. I felt safer with him. I calmed down and looked up at him. "Detrius, your not going to have to leave are you?" I asked. He closed his eyes and pressed his lips to my forehead. He pulled away after a few seconds. "Niki I Dont know, I might have to leave if they need me. I know you Dont want me to and I Dont want to either but it might have to happen." He said as he layed his head on mine. I started to doze off laying on his chest. I eventually fell asleep knowing that I was safe.
I woke up the next morning except I was upside down with my head on his feet. I looked at him and his hair was all ruffled from sleep, his arm hanging off the edge of the bed and his other hand just on my foot. I sat up between his legs and he woke up. He looked down at me and smiled. I started laughing and so did he. "How did you even end up down there?" He said between laughs. "I really have no idea!" I said still laughing. I got up and went to the bathroom to shower and change. He went back to his room to get clothes and then he would be back. I put on my clothes and brushed my hair back into a ponytail. I walked out into the hall and Detrius was just walking around the corner. We went to eat breakfast with Hercules and then we went to go for training. Detrius said that today was going to be one oof the best training days yet. I can't wait to see what he has planned!
