chapter 21 we're going back

I woke up the next morning and saw that Detrius was wrapped around me as if I was going to be killed. I turned my head and looked at him. He was still asleep. I felt my side and there was a bandage around my waist and there was one on my shoulder too. There was no pain because of the cream. I was still looking at him. He looked so peaceful sleeping. I brought my hand up and played with a price of his hair. His eyes fluttered open. He smiled and looked up at my hand. I brought I back down and layed it on his cheek. I looked at his eyes and his smile and every perfect thing about him. I kissed his nose and smiled. He smiled and then kissed my nose. I laughed and we layed there talking for a while. I felt something vibrate. I knew it wasn't my phone. He looked down at his pocket on his pants. He reached down and pulled out a thing that looked like a phone but there were no numbers. I didn't see what it said. He got up and put on a shirt and his shoes. "Detrius where are you going?" I asked. I scrambled up and just before he went out the door I stood in front of him. He stopped. "Niki I need to go. They need me back in masinaw. You can come but it won't be pretty." He said. "No your not leaving and neither am i!" I said. He picked me up and carried me down stairs. "Hey wait why do we need to go?!" I asked. He put me down. "There's been a war outbreak! I need to fight and I would rather you stay here. Your not healed yet." He said. He tried to walk away but I grabbed his arm. He pulled me along with him. "Detrius please Dont go!" I said to him. He was having trouble walking because I was holding him back. He turned around and picked me up. He threw me onto his back and I held on. I started hitting his arms. "Detrius stop I need answers!" He stopped. I jumped off of his back and he turned around. "Look Niki I need to fight in battle whether I die or not. I was bred with no fear and so I just Dont care. But I need to help defend Ok?" He said. I hugged him. "Niki please Dont make this harder than it already is!" He said. "Yea I'm not letting go. Did I not mention that?" I said. He smiled and then took my hands away from around his waist. He bent down and then I climbed onto his shoulders. We laughed and fooled around for a minute and then I got down. We walked out to razcar and told him what had happened. We flew off back to masinaw. We didn't set up camp. We slept on razcars back. We got there faster that way. I was thinking about it and what if this is the last time Detrius and I will be together. What if this is the last time I get to sleep with him. I was laying on his tail but then I balanced myself and walked over to him. I layed down next to him. He let me sleep beside him and he made sure I wouldn't fall off. Like I was thinking about before what if this is our last night together. I turned my head and kissed his cheek. "I love you." I said. "I love you too princess." He mumbled back. I watched the stars until I drifted off to sleep.
