Chapter 11 : Threat arises

Another day passes by. They just kept waiting. Meanwhile there were no crimes of karma. In the AGENCY investigators were trying to figure out why karma has stopped and they were thinking that something big is gonna happen. Maybe this silence is a silence before a storm. Kyun and Marcus decided that they will do something crazy to catch karma. The plan was : Kyun will try to go on karma's side. If karma just as much as meets him it would be enough because this time it won't be like the last time because they are with more preparations. If karma will try to run there will be no problem. They will let him run because Kyun would have put a tracker chip on him.
This was the second time they came up with a plan it's so hard because they had nothing else to do.

One Investigator in cress's group asks him I have many questions that I want you to answer me:
1)Why do you suspect Ryu?
2)If you suspect Ryu just because of the card, why don't you suspect locals who would have that card after all it's just a shop card?
3) Why are we not taking any steps for the safety of people?
Cress answers them one by one, you are right but the card there had fingerprints of Ryu in it. We knew that there was just 1% chance that Ryu is karma but when we started digging in more to find out the approx height of karma it matched when we saw karma's hair the hair colour matched all these things didn't let us suspect anyone else except him. We did not take any safety precautions because that can lead to many problems.
1.The people would start fearing karma and that can become a cause for terror and curfew in the city.
2. It would increase the chances of karma leaving this city.
3. People still believe in us. They believe that the AGENCY, the police stations and the security department will keep them safe but it will all be destroyed and it can also lead to people running out of the city that would cause many problems for the people such as traffic, accidents in hurry, disputes, etc.
All we can do is try to get more and more information about karma and then make a solid plan to catch him.

They turned on the TV for news after that and there was a report about a big bomb blast at a big jail that was connected to a station. "It was the 'grand jail of Gorof' that blew up. No one realized that there were bombs implanted there. The blast was a small series of 13 blasts. The pattern of the blast is the English alphabet 'K' which seems like karma is the one behind that and he wants to show people that he is one who did this. In this blast no one survived except 20 prisoners who didn't make it in time and died just after some time. A total of 175 people died including prisoners,death row prisoners,life imprisonment prisoners, jailers ,police,etc.
Now karma has become a big threat to the cities as this place was one of the safest places that blew up."
After listening to this Kyun and Marcus can't believe what they heard and saw. They were terrified inside.Kyun says,"that place is 2 or 3 cities far from us. Does that mean karma is not only attacking this city but every city he can?" Marcus was unable to say anything. He was shocked that such places blew up. The first thing he does is call one of his friends named 'cro' but the phone was switched off Marcus understands that cro died in that blast too.
Kyun asks him about cro and Marcus says that cro was a fellow investigator and a former policeman. He was Marcus's good friend. They used to talk everyday and solve cases together and they even solved some really hard mysteries that made their friendship famous and as the time passed both of them left these works. Cro started working as a helper in the grand jail of Gorof while Marcus started working while hiding and not officially doing it. Marcus was so furious about it he grabbed the phone so hard that it burst into pieces. He decided that no matter what if he finds karma no matter who he is he will kill him without hesitation. But at the end Marcus smiles and says," your reverse counting has started karma I'm going to kill you soon, be aware."

The investigation about the grand jail comes to the conclusion that karma was able to do it because of a mistake of the grand jail system. The jail has an underground tunnel in case the prisoners do something crazy then they will put them in the tunnel and lock them there for a long time so that they won't do it again. The underground tunnel contained many small jails that could fit only 1 person. They kept cleaning and renewing it everyday as at the center of the tunnel there was also a communication route to other offices and it even had a room where they held secret meetings. 2 weeks before this it was the day of the cleaning when the cleaning yeah arrived and the people inside it were removed. The cleaning staff also used to check what it's broken or what is damaged so that they can replace it and maintain safety but someone in them or maybe them whole implanted a bomb there without anyone noticing. But the problem was the cleaning team also died in the blast as they always stay there except some members who were off on a leave. They interrogated the person who was not there. That person said,"there was someone who was acting very odd but I didn't pay attention to him and also that day he was an extra in us that nobody noticed. We are a team of 25 but that day we were 26 and no one noticed it. Marcus thinks about it and starts writing something in his diary.
