Chapter 39 : Escape attempt

While this was happening Blood reported it to the AGENCY and asked them to send more people for help. Marcus then rushes with some more people to the port. 

Mask was about to reach Karma when the rope connected to him suddenly detaches and the rope along with its source starts getting away. Luna dives into the water and finds out it was a submarine doing this. Luna and the other officers rush in the direction on their boat but the submarine was too fast for them to catch up. Karma on the other hand was caught in the net and was unable to escape.

The Captain of the ship comes out and says, “Hello pal. Let me tell you something. I knew about you. But I wanted to know what kind of a man you are and I have got my answer already.”

Karma stops struggling and looks at him. “You are nice guy.” Captain says while smiling. Karma wasn't able to understand what he just said. Mask and the others were shocked and confused. They look at the Captain and Blood says, “Hey did I just hear you say that he is nice?!!” 

Captain continues, “Aren't you doing it for revenge?” Karma’s eyes widened. “I know it. These days good nature and personality can be defeated and destroyed by doing something wrong to them. If that thing is small that person will ignore. But if it's something big, the good nature suddenly takes a dark turn and all that the mind has now is the feeling of revenge. Revenge is something that just destroys things. Revenge can not be used for construction you know.”

No one was understanding what he was saying suddenly. They were reacting with curious faces except for Karma. His eyes were wide open like he is realising something big.

“Let me tell you this one simple thing boy, Feelings such as Hate, Anger, Regret and Revenge, they are too heavy. It's hard to carry them. What's light is Love, Peace and Forgiveness. Let it go. What's once done can't be undone. So focus on what you can still improve.”

While Captain was saying all of that Karma wasn't trying to escape which helped SA to get closer to him. SA reached him and took him on the boat. They tried to remove his mask but it sticked to his face. It wasn't getting off. They decided to see it after they take him to the AGENCY. They used handcuffs to lock his right hand with Mask’s left hand. Karma was finally captured. Mask says, “Thanks Captain. You helped us by some time.”

Captain says, “Try to go easy on him if you can. Thanks.”

They started to return to the shore. When they turn around they see Marcus was tere at the shore with other officers. Blood says, “It's finally complete.” 

Shadow says, “I hope I'll get some rest now.”

Mask says, “It's all over. Karma is caught and surrounded by us too. It's finally over.”

The news reached AGENCY. Everyone at the AGENCY rejoiced and started celebrating it. The news reached to other army and defence camps and places and they all congratulated AGENCY for this feat.

Everyone on the shore including Marcus was clapping for them as they were finally able to capture him.

They were about to reach at the shore when suddenly Karma starts laughing. They all notice something was not wrong and they all got alert and ready to face any obstacles or tricks that Karma still has. Karma says, “Well done. You are so close. But you still don't know me. My whole face is still hidden inside this mask. That means if I escape there won't be any problem, right?”

Everyone took out their guns and pointed it at him. Luna says, “Don't you dare try to do anything. Cress has saw your face. But he was unable to report it. We saw that recording. He definitely knows who you are. In the video only the broken pieces of this mask was visible. But he saw you. It's all over for you. Even if you keep hiding it for the rest of your life. Once Cress wakes up. It's all over for you.

Karma laughs again and says, “What if he… never wakes up again?” Mask says, “That creepy look in your eyes shows the kind of evil smile you have on right now.”

Luna shouts, “You bastard ! How dare you say something like that ! I'll kill you!”

Karma looks at her and says, “Kill me? Think about it again. The thing you should focus on right now isn't killing me. It's saving that Captain on the ship.”

Everyone got shocked and Shadow asks, “What do you mean?”

Karma says, “ You'll see it in some minutes if you don't hurry. Leave it let me just spoil it for you. I have set bombs in that ship. They were timed to blast after 5 hours. Its about to blast in some minutes I guess. I thought this would happen. So I decided to gather you all on the ship and blow all of you up with the ship but that didn't happen. That old man is about to die what are you doing? Listening how I'm about to kill him?”

The officers who were sent to check the ship come back up and one of them says, “Sir! There are some bombs here.”

Mask asks, “ How many and where?”

He answers, “Nearly 10 of them. We have collected 6 of them.” 

Mask asks, “Why didn't you take the other 4?”

He answers, “We don't know where it is sir. Actually these books have numbers written on them. The ones we have have the numbers, 1,3,4,7,8,10. We don't have 2,5,6 and 9. The others are searching for them. We're waiting for orders sir.”

Mask orders to tie them together and throw them in the sea with something heavy. They follow his instructions while the others were still finding the other 4 ones.

Karma says, “What are you doing? Tell them to clean the bombs off the dirt and tell the time remaining.”

Mask immediately orders them to do this and they clean it up and then look at it and say, “Oh no. It’s just 1 minute and 20 seconds. The others aren't back yet. Do something.”

Mask thinks and says to himself, “Saving the goods wouldn't work. I’ll have to focus on saving them.” Mask orders, “Tell them to retreat and take the captain and anyone left with you and leave the ship and go as far as you can.”

Karma looks at mask and smiles as he finally caught him off guard. Karma pushes Mask and jumps into the sea together with him.
