Chapter 42 : Getting Closer

Karma packs some things in a suitcase and tells Shot and Dead to take their things and leave the place. They both were confused so they asked him the reason for doing this. Karma replies, “AGENCY will find and capture Andrew soon. He will tell them about us as we already have left him and he wants to be safe after all. So we should assume that AGENCY will be here soon.”

Shot says, “What will we do with the records and information we have kept here? It's hard to take them and just get away immediately, we need more time.”

“No. Our time is running out already. Do one thing, record it all in your phone or camera or just take the most important ones with you or the summary ones. Set the rest at fire.”

Shot and Dead were shocked. Dead asks, “On fire?! How can we just burn all our efforts? We need to think of a better way.”

Karma says, “We will burn them but not so easily. I have a plan. Along with the info and records that will stay here, this place and the members of AGENCY. We will get rid of all of them at once. Now, are you willing to do it ?”

Shot says, “We always make such plans with that level of confidence even though nothing happens at all. We aren't even making progress!”

Karma laughs and says, “The country fears me. The people fear me. Criminals fear me. Just for me they had to bring the world’s greatest detective. Just for me the AGENCY had to make a special group called SA meaning Special Agents. We have defeated Four members of them already and two of them turned out to be one. They started with 10 and I halved them. Soon they'll be no more. We are winning slowly. Don't feel bad. Do what I say”

Shot and Dead then agree to him. They take everything that was necessary for them and then Karma tells them what things they have to do. Shot and Dead work as he planned and they create a trap for AGENCY there. They leave the place. While leaving Karma says, “Guys I have something important to tell you. I won't be here for some days or maybe weeks. I want you to keep on with the work. When I'll be back, I'll visit you. Then we will continue with our plan. Until then keep hiding.”

Shot and Dead asked him where he was going but he denied telling them anything. “Don't you trust us?” They say while arguing. Karma says, “I trust you. It's just that it's dangerous for you to know it. I will tell you everything after I'm back. So keep up.”

Dead says, “Finally! A few days holiday!!”

Shot and Karma laughs after hearing him and he joins the laughter. After that Karma leaves and Shot and Dead also leave the place.

Few hours pass by.

It was finally the time for the tracker to get active. The tracker starts sharing its location to the AGENCY. At the AGENCY the workers notified them that the tracker had started doing his work. Everyone arrived there. Shadow was not present there. Mask asks Blood, “Where is Shadow?” Blood says, “Why do you always ask me? And how do you know that I would surely know it?” Diaby says, “Aren't both you ‘Besties’? Blood says, “Disgusting. Anyways, He said that he was not needed here so he went to sleep?”

Mask says, “He again went to sleep?!”

Marcus replies with a laugh, “For the first time something so simple is difficult for Mask to solve or handle.” 

Mask says, “Shadow is such a lazy person.”

Marcus says, “Yeah I remember what his laziness resulted to, one time.”

Everyone stared at him and a long silence was there. Marcus breaks the silence and says, “I’m sorry, I accidentally spoke too much.”

Mask says, “leave it, lets focus on the work.”

They all take their equipment, weapons and the officers with them and then they all start heading towards the directions directed by the device.

Shot and Dead were keeping an eye on AGENCY and found out that they had made their move. Shot and Dead understand what Karma was talking about and then call Andrew. Andrew picks up the phone. Shot says, “ The SA of the AGENCY has started moving. It looks like there are only 4 of them on bikes. They may be heading towards you so don't take it lightly.” Andrew says In a harsh and word voice, “Thanks but, I am already here.” Shot gets terrified because he knew that voice. Andrew’s face was covered with blood and some of his teeths were on the floor, his left hand was broken. He looks up and says, “Please leave me. I told you everything. I don't have anything left.” The scene moves from the well defined lean body in a black T-shirt and jacket towards the face and we see it was Shadow.

Shadow leaves him. Andrew tries to emotionally blackmail him. He says “ We know each other. You should've trusted me. You think I'll betray you? Come on”

Shadow says, “Stop your nonsense and tell me before I do something to you. Tell me where the hell is Karma and your subordinates?”

Andrew refuses to tell anything. Shadow leaves. Few minutes later SA arrives. Andrew was already badly hurt so it was easy for them to catch him. Marcus starts questioning him and he was also using the method of torture. Andrew was scared to tell them about Shadow for some reason. Marcus tells them to wait while he takes Andrew with him in a different room.

Soon after some minutes Marcus walks out of the room. He tells them about the talk he had with Andrew in person. Andrew told him about the place and Marcus has decided to take him with them. They all then start going to the place he told them about.
