It's been a few days since the accident. I could tell Jared was walking on eggshells around me. I hated that. I knew he was having a hard time knowing that I was dealing with such mental issues but I also knew he cared about me. So much. And for that, I was so thankful.
We had skipped the night that we were supposed to hang out with Lucy and Harry. I'm assuming everyone thought I needed to rest and I didn't want to protest that. All I wanted to do that day was sleep anyways.
Jason had asked to hang out with me all day, which I won't lie, I was pretty excited for. We haven't seen each other for a few days due to his work and the fact that I've just been at home resting. I was ready to try and begin my healing process though.
It was around eleven in the morning and I had just finished showering. I finally managed to pick out an outfit for the nice autumn weather that was outside today.
As I finished putting on my shirt, completing my outfit, on cue, the doorbell rang. I smiled to myself and walked into the living room and to the front door.
"Hey beautiful," Jared said as I opened up the door. He held a bouquet of flowers and a smile on his face. I smiled back at him and dragged him inside. As I pulled him close, I closed the gap in between us and placed a kiss on his lips.
"Hey you," I said finally pulling away.
"Have I ever told you how much I love that wrap around porch of yours?" He said as he handed the flowers to me.
"You haven't, but I'm happy to hear you love such a crappy porch," I said taking the flowers.
"These are beautiful," I said smelling them.
Jared smirked and placed a kiss on the side of my head then began walking to the kitchen. I followed after him to put the flowers in a vase. Although, it as getting hard to find a vase for my flowers since he brought me so many all the time. Which is a problem, I don't mind having.
"Your porch isn't crappy. It's adorable," he said grabbing a water from the side of the fridge as I continued looking in the bottom cabinets for a vase.
"Yeah you call me adorable but my doctor's note says otherwise," I slightly joked. I then stood up and seen Jared pulling a vase from the very top cabinet and shutting it.
"Stop it," he said gently with a small smile, as he handed me the vase.
"Thank you," I quietly said taking the vase. I began to fill it with water as Jared continued to drink his.
"So what's the plan for today?" Jared asked changing the subject.
"Not sure," I said now beginning to cut the ends of the flowers, trying my best to keep them alive as long as I could.
"Hungry yet?" He asked. I appreciated the fact that he knew I didn't eat as soon as I got up.
"Not quite," I answered.
