"But the is the past now, we didn't last now. I guess that this is meant to be. Tell me, was it worth it? We were so perfect."

| Lily |

I woke up to the sound of rain hitting the my window and the wind whistling and blowing all the leafs around. I sat up a bit and noticed the gloomy weather and slightly smiled to myself. I always loved this weather, made me feel calm and happy. It was zen. I sat up and stretched, then stood up and put my slippers on. I walked out to the kitchen where I saw Lucy sitting at the table eating a bowl of cereal. I took a seat from across her, then looked out the window to stare at the pouring rain.

"Good morning Lily," she grinned.

"Good morning," I mumbled. I wasn't too much of a morning person.

"How'd you sleep?" she asked.

"I slept alright, just a bit cold if I'm being honest."

"It was chilly, wasn't it? That's strange since it's April."

"Ah, get used to it. It's always cold here."

"Really?" She asked quite shocked, "don't think I've packed enough." She nervously giggled.

"Well, I'm definitely going to go shopping today," she told me as she stood up and took her bowl to sink. She began rinsing it out as she continued her conversation with me, "would you like to come with me?"

I thought about it for a second, should I? I haven't been shopping in what seemed like years. I could always use more clothes, who wouldn't? Although, I didn't like how much time we had already spent together. But shopping does sound very nice... Perhaps I should.

"Uh, sure," I said very hesitant.

"Great!" She clapped her hands in excitement, "how far is the nearest mall?" I giggled at her excitement and the fact that she believed there was a mall in this place.

"Pretty far," I said pushing my seat back and standing up. I walked to the fridge and opened up a water bottle then began to drink it while leaning against the counter while Lucy sat right in front of me. My kitchen felt small but it actually wasn't, my dining table was just huge. It felt even smaller with Lucy being there.

"What do you mean?" She questioned.

"The closest mall is on a neighboring island, it's about forty-five minutes away from here if we take a ferry." She looked at me a bit confused.

"So... You don't want to go?" Was she crazy? She didn't mind going in this weather just to go shopping? She was interesting, to say the least.

"You still want to go? Even though we have to take a ferry?" She shrugged and took another bite of her cereal.

"Why not? I mean, I took a nine hour flight just to talk to you in person. I can do forty-five minutes for some clothes," she said with confidence. I guess she's right, maybe I'm just impatient. Scratch that, I am very impatient.

"Yeah, I guess you're right," I shrugged.

"So... what are we waiting for?" she questioned with a smile. I puckered my lips accepting defeat.

"When would you like to leave?" I asked.

"Uh, well I can go get changed and be ready, so whenever you wanna go sweetie." I hated the idea of people waiting on me.
