'Everything sucks, just kidding.
Everything is great, no really.
I haven't thought about my ex today, oh wait.
Fuck, I just did.'

"Lily!" Harry shouted from the porch. I left the kitchen to meet him outside. Once I reached him, he was standing on the porch with his hands on his hips as he was staring at the porch swing right in front of him.

"Are you done?" I said walking up behind him with wrapping my arms around his waist.

"Do you like it?" He asked unfazed by my arms. I then stepped in front of him, letting him go, and climbed onto the swing. Though, I was pretty tall, I wanted a swing where my feet wouldn't reach the ground. Once I sat down, I was able to freely swing my legs without them hitting the ground.

I looked up at Harry, who had nothing but a white shirt, blue jeans, and sun glasses on. Once he saw my feet swinging, he began to show off his perfect smile.

"How's it?" He asked.

"It could be taller," I teased. Harry had thrown his head back and let out a laugh.

"Oh fuck off," he then looked back at me and walked over and sat down next to me.

He threw his arms around me and placed a quick kiss on my temple.

"You wanna build it?" He questioned.

"No, you look hotter doing it," I answered back, quickly.

"Yeah, that's what I thought," he said now pressing his lips against mine.

As we pulled apart, I grabbed his hand and began fidgeting with his fingers.

"Your hands are gorgeous," I told him.

"You think?" He asked.

"You should start wearing your rings again," I said. He sighed and shook his head.

"You know I don't do that anymore," he said pulling his hand away.

"Why?" I whined as I looked up at him.

"Babe, drop it," he said chuckling a bit.

"Why? Seriously Harry, you used to wear the most beautiful rings," I said now turning my body to him.

"Yeah, and I used to be a photographer and have long hair, things change," he argued back. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"Harry I-"

"Lily, drop it," he said quite stern.

"But I-"

"Lily." His tone seemed pretty clear. He didn't want to talk about this. I don't understand why, but I had to respect it.

He was a different man now than when we first got together. Maybe it was my fault. Maybe he outgrew those things. Whatever it was, I knew I had to respect him.

He shook his head a bit and rubbed his eyes with his hand and let out a sigh.

"I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to say it like that.. it's just, I'd rather not go down that road again," he said. I looked up at him confused on what he meant.

"What do you mean? What road?" I asked.

"The road of.. just that.. rings, photography, music. I mean.. I'd just rather not.." he told me.

I looked down and nodded a bit. Still a bit bothered if I'm being honest. I wish he continued doing a lot of things, especially music. But he stopped to keep me safe. And to this day, I feel incredibly guilty for it.
