"Comfortable silence is so overrated" - From The Dining Table, Harry Styles. 2017.

| Lily |

"I know I said anything but to quite honest, this isn't something I'm very comfortable with Lily..."  Harry said as I helped him with his tie.

"What can I do to help?" I said placing my hands on his shoulders.

He turned away and looked at himself in the mirror and began to fix his jacket. He was wearing an all black suit and never have I seen something look so good on someone before. It was like he was a real life angel just walking around on earth, and I somehow was lucky enough to find him.

"Well, what would make this situation way better is if we didn't go through with it at all," he said now adjusting his cuffs on his sleeves.

"Harry, I already told them about you.."

"And now you can tell them I died in a boating accident. There! Problem solved"  He exclaimed with his hands in the air.

"Harry..."  I slightly smiled. He leaned back on the edge of the arm rest of the couch, his smile faded and he looked down. He nodded a bit and had began to play with the rings on his fingers.

"I just don't want to ruin this for us..." He admitted.

"Harry," I said placing my hands on his chest, making him glance up at me. "You're not going to ruin anything with anyone. You're the most amazing guy I have ever met and I'm sure they're going to love you."

He smiled at me and let out a small breath. He looked back down and let out a small chuckle.

"We've only known each other for a few months. How do you know how they'll feel about me?" He wrapped his hands around my waist and my hands instantly rested on his chest.

"Because I know how I feel about you." I said forcing my forehead against his. He smirked and bit his lip. He leaned in closer so our noses were touching. My nerves in my body were always uneasy around him. He did something to me and I didn't know what, how, or why.

"Oh, do you now?"  His raspy voice said. I slightly nodded, as I felt my cheeks getting red and hot. He let out a sigh and shook his head. "I'm only doing this for you..."

Excitement filled my body. The people I love the most meeting the person I care about the most right now. I couldn't be more ready. We both finished getting ready, he got his cologne on, fixed his hair, and did a bunch more other things that I was completely oblivious to because I was too distracted by how great this person in front of me was.

His hair was a perfect shade of golden brown. His green eyes were bright and beautiful. Everything about him was stunning. After a little while more of getting ready we made our way to my house. It took a bit to get there due to a bunch of traffic on a Friday night in San Francisco. When we did make it there, we walked up the steps of my house and I could just feel the tension Harry felt. He was nervous, scared, so unlike himself. I squeezed his hand and he looked down at me.

I smiled, "you're going to be okay," I said reassuring him.

He slightly nodded and looked back up, still with an unsure look on his face. My smile faded when he looked away. I opened the door and we then walked in to my home. I looked around and saw an empty hallway. We walked down the hallway and into the living room, still nobody was around. I squeezed Harry's hand a bit tighter and lead him into the next room, which happened to be the dining room.

As Harry and I entered the room, hand in hand, my parents walked into the room from the other side, the same way. My mouth opened a little a bit in shock. My parents are about to meet Harry. This could go very good or very bad. They could love him or hate him and this could make or break Harry and I.
