I WOKE UP IN HIS EMBRACE, and a singular thought circled my head.

I'm scared that Zhongli will see us like this.

It's selfish to think like this, but it's a genuine concern of mine.

Yet I feel safe...I feel comfortable.

I feel comfortable with a man I only actually met last night.

But it's not like that.

We have been talking for a while.

However, people will never understand that side of the story.

But what matters is the man in front of me, though my love isn't genuine, it will come eventually.

I don't have time to wait for me to fall in love with him, I just have to go with it and it will happen.

A phone started ringing and Scaramouche woke up in a panic and picked it up without getting time to wake up.

"Hello?"

"Mhm, I'll be there at midnight."

And he hung up the phone.

He put his phone down and held me close to him, softly breathing into my neck.

"What's wrong?" I asked him.

"I'm leaving Liyue at midnight." he sighed.

I turned to face him, showing him the obvious frown on my face.

"I'll take you out today...I'll treat you to a nice day." he played with my hair.

"When will you be back?" I asked him.

"I don't know, in April I think." he moved the hair out of my face.

"It's November." my frown grew.

He sighed and held me closer to him, keeping my head over his shoulder and pushing my back against his chest.

"Y/n I want you more than any other girl, if I could I would take you back with me." he sounded upset.

Unable to hold back my cries, I let it out on his shoulder.

I want to love this man so badly, yet my heart won't allow it.

I have found a rebound in this man but I can't let myself love him the way I want to.

Why must Zhongli keep the lock to my heart clamped down? Why must only he access my heart?

"Scara," I called out.

He looked into my eyes, and through them, I saw thousands of stars behind his pupils.

So many stars, enough to light up every city in this world.

A light so bright, so powerful it might just get me out of the state I'm in.

"Would you save me?"

"What?" he looked concerned.

"Don't ask, just answer me. Would you save me Scara." I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Yes. I would save you." he cupped my cheek.

I kissed him without a thought in my head, and I held onto his shoulder as I did.

"You belong to me Y/n, not anyone else."

"I belong to you, nobody else."
