The door opened to the room, Hershel checking on Carl while I was curled up in Loris arms watching. The older man glanced over, seeing his middle daughter bring in three more strangers.

"Hey." Glenn took off his hat, greeting us.

"Hey." Rick nodded, tiredly holding his sons hand.

"Um, we're here, okay?" Glenn tried to reassure them best he could.

"Thank you." Lori smiled and Harley stepped forward.

"Whatever you need." T-Dog added.

"Come on, kid" Harley picked me up from Loris lap. "I've got her" she nodded to Lori who eased up knowing that we had built a family with our group, people who cared for us kids like their own. Harley carried me out of the room, Maggie going to the kitchen to make them some food.

Sitting in the living room I was tucked into Harley's side, her hugging me close. "You are a tough girl, you know that?" Harley glanced down at me as I gazed up at her. "And don't worry, your dad knows that your safe here" she added.

"He told me to protect them" I mumbled softly, realization dawning on the teenager that I blamed myself for what happened. We sat in silence for a little bit longer, Harley soon noticing my steady breaths and stilled movements.

"Glenn" she whispered over to him while he walked by.

"Yeah, what's up?" He asked, immediately being shushed. She nodded down to me and he nodded back. "Oh, yeah, I've got it" he agreed, stopping me up. They brought me back upstairs to rest, Harley tucking me in and brushing the hairs out of my face with a sad smile.

Rick and Lori stepped out of the room for a minute, sitting in the hallway outside of Carls room. They heard a cough from inside the room, Lori barely being able to get up quick enough, rushing into the room with her husband hot on her heels. Lori smiled happily, seeing her sons eyes open and awake while Hershel stood from where he sat in the room keeping an eye on the boy.

"Where are we?" Carl asked nervously, glancing between his parents and the strange man who stood over his bed.

"Hey, little man. That's Hershel. We're in his house. You had an accident. Alright?" Rick spoke gently while Lori rubbed Carls hair out of his face.

"It hurts, a lot." Carl winced breathing jagged.

"Oh baby, I know. I know." Lori nodded, hating to see him in pain while Rick looked down.

"You should have seen it." Carl looked to his mom, a small smile on his face.

"What?"

"The deer. It was so pretty, mom. And Cassie looked so happy. It was so close. I've never been.." he started slowly to her until he trailed off. His eyes went blank and Lori watched closely waiting for anything to happen.
