"Yeah. That's it." Rick and Shane gently set Jim down with his back against a tree just off the side of the road.

"Hey, another damn tree." Jim commented with a slight chuckle.

"Cas, stay back" Daryl warned me when everyone walked up to say our goodbyes. I nodded in understanding, staying close to Emilys side.

"Hey, Jim... I mean, you know it doesn't need to be this." Shane tried one last time.

"No. It's good. The breeze feels nice." Jim smiled.

"Okay. All right." Shane nodded and stood back.

"Just close your eyes, sweetie. Don't fight." Jaqui knelt in front of him.

"Jim, do you want this?" Rick knelt down next, offering him a gun.

"No. You'll need it. I'm okay." Jim told him calmly. "I'm okay."

"Thanks for, uh... For fighting for us." Dale said his goodbyes.

"Okay."

Glenn turned back, Harley taking his hand and walking back to the road. Emily nudged my shoulder, urging me down the hill after the others.

"I'll, meet you in the truck" Daryl told me when I passed him on my way down. Daryl sent Jim a nod before walking down after the rest of us, leaving Jim behind. He gave me a boost into the truck and we were off again, following the RV towards our hope of survival.

My dad had pulled the truck to a stop outside of the lab behind the others. Looking outside my window I spotted hundreds of dead bodies, flies hovering over them and beyond that, the large building which was our destination. Daryl got out first, opening the door for me and holding up his crossbow at the ready. Everyone moved as a group, weapons raised, women and children in the middle. Many of us began coughing at the smell of the decaying bodies, children being held close to someone for protection.

"All right, everybody. Keep moving. Go on. Stay quiet. Let's go." Shane whispered out, urging us forward.

"Keep moving. Stay together. Keep moving. Come on." Rick urged in a hushed tone as we got closer.

"Shh." We walked over dead body's, keeping quiet.

"Oh, God." Glenn gagged at the smell surrounding us.

"Keep it together. Come on." Rick lead us to the front doors.

"We're almost there, baby. Almost there." Lori promised Carl who was shaking with fear. Upon reaching the door Rick and Shane tried to open it, shaking and rattling the door handle.

"Nothing?" Shane turned to Rick.

"There's nobody here." T-Dog said with defeat as Shane pounded on the door, not giving up just yet.
