"Fantastic!" Carol cheered, the three of us heading down to meet up with the others. Hershel and Carl came out of the guard tower as well, everyone gathering by the gate into the field.

"Did you see the Walker by the gate that I shot?" I asked Carl with pride, my dad ruffling my hair from behind me with a smile on his face.

"Yeah, that was amazing!" The boy cheered, the two of us high fiving.

"Nice shooting." Daryl told Carol, having seen her come a long way from our little camp in Atlanta.

"Yeah." She smiled. "You okay?" Carol asked, approaching Lori who held the gate open for us all.

"I haven't felt this good in weeks." She smiled back.

"Good" Carol nodded and Lori patted Carls shoulder while he walked by to get into the field.

"Oh! Oh, oh! We haven't had this much space since we left the farm!" Carol called out with laughter, running into the yard and spinning around. One walker tried to get up, Glenn stabbing it in the head as T-Dog laughed with pride.

"Wooooo!" Harley cheered, running past her brother with me on her back, bow raised in the air in victory.

As the sun had set that evening our group settled down from the excitement of a hope for a safe home. We set up a space in the middle of the field, sleeping bags and blankets keeping us warm alongside the fire that burned in the middle. Food had been passed around after being cooked over the fire, everyone digging in.

By the fence my dad stood on the side of a flipped over prison bus, keeping watch for a bit. Rick had been pacing along the fence that separated the yard from the Walker infested prison itself, searching for any sign of possible danger.

"Mmmm... Just like mom used to make." Glenn claimed as he threw away a bone from the meal we had eaten, his little sister smiling at him. Maggie smiled as well, curled up into Glenn's side, while Lori was watching Rick from a distance.

"Tomorrow, we'll put all the bodies together. We want to keep them away from that water. Now, if we can dig a canal under the fence, we'll uh have plenty of fresh water." T-Dog explained a possible game plan.

"The soil is good, we could plant some seed, grow some tomatoes, cucumbers, soybeans." Hershel added, his farmer side showing. He looked over at Rick with concern that he was wearing himself down. "That's his third time around. If there was any part of it compromised, he'd have found it by now."

'This will be a good place to have the baby. Safe." Beth smiled to the pregnant woman who offered a small smile in return.

Carol stood up, Emily looking up at her to check on her as she went away from the group, heading towards Daryl to check on him. Emily watched the duo on the prison bus until Hershel spoke up again.
