(Radio Station)
We pulled up behind the radio station and with a smile and a kiss we rushed in. We headed to the elevator when we both heard Joe's name called, I recognized the voice immediately, it was Jon. I turned and there comes walking up with his boyfriend Harley, I have never met him but I recognized him right away by all the pictures I have seen.
"Ry I didn't expect to see you here."
I didn't even get to say anything before he pulled me in for one of his infamous hugs.
"Ryder this is Harley."
"Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too."
Harley seemed sweet, quiet like Jon. Jon seems extremely happy and that's all I really care about. The elevator dinged and we all loaded in. I feel Joe's arms wrap around me and he leans over and whispers,
"Thank you for coming with me."
I felt the kiss to my cheek as the doors slid open. This was it my first actual radio show as Joey McIntyre's fiancée. I wish I could say I got to experience this with Joey but the truth of it is as soon as we walked into the doors of the radio station, they immediately grabbed Joey rushing him down the hall and pointed Harley and I to a room down the hall. I walked in and I looked up to a small monitor in the corner that showed the DJ booth, it was only a few minutes before I seen them walk in and sit down and the segment started. I looked over Harley on his phone.
"Hey Harley, they have a monitor over here. They are about to start."
He looks and smiles heading over.
"Thanks Ryder."
He somehow just puts me at ease. Jon for a long time struggled with coming out, but it just seemed that Harley was the one who he needed to come in his life and help him with the anxiety and live how he wants to live and not let people's opinions get to him. We watched from a moment, I think we could tell in each others faces exactly how proud we were of Jon and Joe.
"So, Ryder what do you and Joe have planned after they are done here?"
"Just picking up the baby from his parent and probably grabbing a pizza, why?"
"Why don't you get the baby and you guys come over for dinner and hang out."
"Sure, I like that. I just have to check with Joey."
"So how you handling being the celebrity girlfriend?"
"Honestly, I like my privacy and this part of his life I don't find appealing, but I do it for him. I don't usually come to this kind of stuff. I guess for some reason I got into my head last night about the radio show, so Joe asked me to come."
"Oh.... do you want to talk about it, I get the not finding it appealing, I like to stay low key too. Maybe that's why it took so long for us to meet."
I just looked at him for a second and sighed.
"How much do you know about Joey and mine situation?"
"Honestly, not a whole lot, Jon makes it a point to not putting people's business out there."
"Joey was my best friend since we moved out here when I was 5. To be honest Joey was also my first love. When him and the guys left to on tour it devastated me, so I threw myself into school and Boston University. Then one day out the blue, Joe emails me and invites me to the last tour date. I didn't want to go, but I did. We ended up getting really drunk and screwing. Well out all that I got pregnant. I hid from everyone for a while but eventually I told him. Now looking back at he was trying from the beginning for me to be with him.... I wasn't ready. I'm not going to say we didn't hook up a couple times, because we did. Eventually I gave in, he asked me to move in and it really wasn't long till I moved from dorm into his house. He ended up proposing on Christmas Infront of his entire family. No sooner did I say yes, my water broke. As soon as I delivered Stryker I crashed. I bled out, apparently, I actually died for a few minutes. I stood in the hospital for almost a week before they let me go. Everything after that was perfect for a few months then you remember that club opening they did for Rain?"
