She looked a bit concerned before saying "hey Carson".

"Hey, I responded back", not changing my expression, "you felt it too finally? And did you see the news?".

She widened her eyes, "yeah", then furrowed her brows, "what do you mean finally?".

"Well...", I started, "you know Mr. Virnish, he came in today after three years to collect on a contract and he said that the council was together, that something was coming, and he warned me to be careful. My biggest issue here is that if the council has sensed it why did I, now you, just sense it? Then the news saying everyone is wanted. . . Something is going on, something serious. I had a vision with the president and the Legion, and a lot of bad things coming; I think it's time we get the team involved!"

"Agreed", she said without thinking twice. "There's something you need to know first, we disbanded a few years ago. It wasn't pretty, and I'm pretty sure most everyone hates each other".

"Why did you guys separate? What happened?", I really wanted to know but she then said she had to go.

I will call Liza in the morning, and you let me know who you can get a hold of, and Reena, please be careful. I feel like whatever is coming is really going to hit now that we've felt it. She nodded and said "Okay", and we got off the call, her face slowly fading from sight. I thought for a moment, the Warrior Legion assembling during times like this is almost crazy, yet the world met crazy first. For a second I got lost in reminiscing about fighting alongside those guys quite a few times coming up in our younger days. I smiled to myself and headed to bed.

The next morning, I got up, showered, ate my breakfast and sat around lazily as the sun came up more and peaked through the sliding glass door to my balcony from behind the neighboring buildings. I had to force myself it was time for business, so I grabbed my phone and dug through my contacts for Liza Patterson. I rang her number but got sent to voicemail, so I left a message. She's my best friend, I've known her for eleven years. We met right after she got her powers because we joined the heroics at the same time together. It was almost like an induction but also like a public promise to society to do good and do the right thing. The same things people hate most of us for now. She took on the name Starlight, with sort of a firefly design across her chest with a black diamond in the center. It has three points on each side that start at the neck, then across her upper chest, then diagonal on the base of her breasts. There's a center point that comes off the bottom of the design that ends just before her bellybutton. The design is almost a neon pink matching the triangles that come a little around her hips and the shoulder-high gloves and thigh-high boots. The rest of her suit is straight black in color and to complete her design she has a pink mask as well. I always tell her that her eyes are so cool when she wears the mask, almost like it's the mask doing it, but her pupils and irises disappear, and only light pink trims of her cornea are visible.

She uses star energy to create blasts and shields as her abilities and she can also fly. It's really funny how she got her powers actually, she swallowed a star. She was interning at Astro Labs and this strange pink object appeared in the night sky. Liza began studying it over a few weeks and then one night she noticed it had gotten bigger and bigger with each passing night. Shockingly interesting as it was, she kept checking her scope and then with her own eyes in awe. That's when the star ended up falling into her mouth because her jaw was dropped open. Soon her abilities kicked in and about a year later she joined the heroics.

My doorknob slowly began to turn as I came out of thought and I just kind of looked at it in an uninterested way and then realized that dark times are coming; I sprang up off the couch. I slowly urged forward ready to cast when the door fully opened, and Liza stood there with the most heinous scowl on her face.
