"I think we found an answer and a step closer to finding Veleeca", she said, and I told her she was right. Slowly Liza landed back on the ground and the animal lights above us dimmed themselves off. I asked her if she had any ideas on what to do to open it and she shrugged her shoulders. Then she kind of had a hunger in her eyes staring at me with a glossy look to them, she suggested I use some magic. I figured this was coming since a weird, obsessed anime girl look sat on her face. Thinking about it I wasn't too sure if magic would help this situation without knowing what's on the other side of that "door"? I could bust through it but that could also set something free, on the other hand, it could be the easiest way around it and I'd have to use magic to do it period. It took a good bit of internal debate, but I agreed to go ahead with the magics. My fingers went out to a point, like I'm going to shoot the doorway with my thumb up and my index finger aligned with my middle. I thought of a few spells to cast but right as I went to say the one I chose, the door cracked open all on its own like it had a pack of c4 on the other side. Liza of course looked amazed and said how cool it was, but I told her I didn't even do it. Now she's confused just as much as I am, but I also put my hand out near her to make her wait a second just in case something came out. When nothing made an appearance, I told her we should go through and find out what's behind it. We began walking forward stepping over chunks of rock lying on the ground and headed down the darker than normal path. It was so dark it felt like I was walking in space or an open room, kind of like I've lost my bearings and my mind thinks nothing is next to me. I asked Liza if she was good, and the answer echoed past me down what now seems like a tunnel. As I tried to put my hand up to cast light, she told me she had this one since I did the entryway. Slowly, the pink on her outfit began to glow emitting light around us to see, and then I could see that it in fact was a kind of tunnel that we were walking down. She said she wanted to help out a little more so that I'm not carrying all the weight of the mission since she was the leader of the Warrior Legion. I wasn't complaining and this kept me from having to do magics so, whatever keeps her satisfied.

An opening with natural light crept up on us as we pushed further coming towards an enormous space. There was one piece of rock in the center and a green sheen coming from what was stuck in it. Liza's light dimmed out and then she asked me how the hell we were supposed to get to that thing. I truly don't know but I told her to look around for clues, that's usually the first thing I do when I hunt for artifacts. She thought about lighting up the giant drop beneath us as she put her hand out, only sparks of light came out. She tried radiating more energy and nothing happened, which makes me think this must be why her light guiding us went out. I tried lighting the dark hole below and I got the same results, my magic isn't working. Both of us trying a few more things with our powers confirmed the room negates abilities since neither of us could get going.

I don't really like that we can't use our powers with a giant pit of darkness lying beneath our feet. We still can't find any clues on how to get over to the center of the void with our shiny green object waiting for us. Not going to lie, this is harder than the normal hunts I go on. There are always clues to help outsmart the trap and get the object I seek. Wait! In this case I can see the item beforehand. It's not hidden from sight its plainly right in front of me, essentially. I once went on a hunt and the object was in front of me but the ice on the walls was so smooth it looked like a mirror. It showed me that it wasn't truly the item I came for. So, if this is its normal guise, then maybe the way of getting it is far more simple than other missions.

I can at least see our little green thing, what if I look closer, I can make out almost like a stone person or being holding it. They aren't looking at it though, like you would if it was the best prize in the world, it's only looking forward. It is placed right above the head of the figure instead, kind of like if it had worn it before. There's really not much sense to make of it as to why its atop and not in front of their eyes. This quickly makes me mad because its super irritating and I can't figure anything out from how it's holding the item. Liza said she couldn't find anything still to allude to getting across and getting the artifact because there wasn't a single thing around her to help out. I told her she wouldn't with the slightest attitude that she knew was frustration. "What's wrong?", she asked me afterwards. I looked at her with a look that was trying to ease the tension on my end, then explained myself. It's just always so easy for me to get the prize and get out but this is so hard because there are no clues, no powers, nothing to help out. She processed everything I spit at her and then told me I should maybe look at it from a normal person's perspective.
