A giant bang filled the air like an explosion, and everything stopped. The red sky was gone, and the wind died down, the demon was no longer present, and the boy was now huddled in a ball on the ground. First thing, he'll be just fine in a little while once his mind returns to normal. I summoned a Fera demon, they smell the minds of other demons. These things also infiltrate the consciousness and paralyze their foe since they eat other demons as well. It's to fill them with fear to get their blood pumping and it makes that individual more appetizing. This was only to show him how turning into a half demon without being educated about it was extremely idiotic on his part. Heading over to the cowering kid on the dirt he began covering his face, maybe he thought I was coming after him. Helping take some of the images out of his head calmed him down a lot and he began to relax a bit. His demeanor was still frantic like he needed to leave right that very second. Just a couple of seconds and he began to continue to a rude little asshole like before. Less twitching with fear and into a cockier attitude by telling me to back up. All I could do was just stare back at him confused, I understood what I did but to the fact that he's this angry. Maybe it's selfish but I didn't feel he was allowed to be mad because of what he did. I only showed him the reality of his actions, I'm supposed to be teaching lessons.
"Get the hell away from me", he shouted.
With a careful tone that had sympathy in it, "It's okay, you'll be fine, but I wanted you to understand – "
"I don't care what you have to say I said get the f– "
Without arguing more, I tapped his arm quickly which blipped him back to the arena. I'm not going to fight with a child about demons, I study them and summon them and know way more than he ever will. Now that he's gone, I can focus on the task at hand, I just have to figure out where the other two students might be. While getting back up I tried as best as I could to heal myself, my cuts were still bleeding a little. I had to summon that demon to teach him a lesson and couldn't focus on myself. At least that worked though, but that was a large amount of magic whereas little bits won't do anything. Confusing at best but I guess I told myself to adapt to the fighting conditions for the tournament. I'd say this was part of the tournament so that my powers were stinted, and the students had a chance, that makes sense. Turning away from the area and heading back to the fields seemed like a good idea. Pushing my way through the trees the path reappeared and the flowers became visible. Standing here I waited to see if any direction felt right to go in, looking around and searching. There was a good bit of time where I was digging through every bit of the grounds with my eyes. Nothing at first until I saw from the back of the castle, large bubbles were floating around in the wind. It was the most obvious place to go so I set off in that direction which will take me back to the beachside. Around twenty minutes later the path dipped into a slope opening up with sand and water. The ocean was hitting the sand with a splash making it tempting for me to just jump in and forget about this whole tournament. Bubbles were still gliding around but there was nobody around to know why they were here. Grazing the beach hard and blocking the sun from my eyes you could make out a faint figure. It was quite a way down to the right from the side of the castle. Another bubble formed from the figure, and I made my way towards it. Eventually reaching the origin, the other boy from Ankastle stared back at me, my healing had finished as well.
He looked the most contempt towards me out of all the others. It was odd since I'd never met him, but all these kids so far had mostly been rude. Ignoring his look, I struck up conversation, "so you make bubbles as your magic?"
"Obviously", he said, implying a "duh" behind his words.
I just nodded my head, I'm starting to get used to being spoken to like this, "well cool, that's a white magic ability".
"Are you just going to make small talk?", keeping his head turned away.
"What do you mean?", I asked confused, "I just got here and you're being short".
