Everyone agreed to this statement nodding simultaneously, the sounds of the enforcers broke through our discussion and then the agreement was on us needing to leave. Starlight glanced at me, and I told her we aren't teleporting this time, I swiped my hands and the doors to the room shut with a bang. They locked themselves with loud clicks allowing us to have more time. I flicked two finger points to my right since there was the most open space in that direction. Thinking of Valsyri, the air began to twirl counterclockwise warping what we could see behind it. A ring of light appeared, and it stretched itself wide, Starlight was mesmerized by it. Pawn made a "hmm" sound making him seem impressed and Gauntlet didn't look surprised. Banging overcame the doors and I looked at everyone and said let's go. The guys entered first and Starlight headed in after them, I began walking through and both doors had burst open. Quickly, I placed my fingers on the ring of light and drug them downward collapsing the portal into nothing. We were now in Valsyri, but more specifically in Reena's hideout, leaving the enforcers behind in an empty room with a lot of broken chairs. Heroes can be here, in the magic realm, it's just the fact of the matter with earth world and its problems, it might spark questions nobody wants to have to answer right now.
"Well, hey", she said, standing there with her hands at her hips. Reena Celvis in full body this time, her black hair shining in the firelight. Fires are usually always a staple at a witch's place, even if its five hundred degrees outside. She smiled and then ran to me giving a big hug, it was nice, comforting and very much needed. I hadn't actually talked talked to her since back in my hero days. Everyone got cut off, but I did miss her a lot too, she was a great person to train. Reena is the youngest master mage in our world having excelled quickly through Ankastle and excelling though being a hero. She's overall very intelligent and can throw a real punch even for my black magic. Her skill is white magic, which I don't use, and Liza points out all the time. She backed out of the embrace and asked how I was, I gave her the answer I gave Liza, "I'm fine." "Okay", she says with a pause to gawk a little, she then looks at everyone else and tells them that they have rooms waiting upstairs and baths and showers at their disposal. Food will be ready in one hour, and she hollered to the others everyone was here now. The three of them went off out of the room to meet the footsteps we heard after her announcement. Reena said she wanted to talk to me for a bit and motioned me to a couch near the fire and she sat in the one across from it. I didn't really want to have a conversation but also knew it had nothing to do with my personal life, so I thought why not. The window outside said it was about to be nighttime, I took a quick look to think about wanting to sit or not. I sat and the couch engulfed me as I took a seat and it felt quite relaxing to my surprise. Staring at the fire to avoid eye contact Reena began to talk.
"So, what's been going on? In earth world I mean"
"The usual, everyone hates heroes, and nobody is free to be themselves", I said sounding drained.
"How did you getting Jace and Mason to join the team again to?"
Mason is Pawn's real name, Mason Penbrooke. "Honestly it didn't take much effort with those two, they already knew things and helped us figure more out. Getting them to come with us wasn't even an argument or a battle, they already knew they had to"
"Well, that's good, the rest of us have just been waiting, we still never found anything about Archaic", she said in a discouraging voice"
I told her how Mason figured out what we needed to do, correcting myself telling her, "They", had to do. She got really excited and said this was great news and the others will be happy too. Making a comment about Impersona, neither of us had fought her before. It was quite strange she got involved but with the villains, we're not surprised. She must have been behind the disappearances of the senators trying to stop the hero reform. The random villain encounters make sense to get the riots going and causing all the destruction, but I wasn't sure how they knew where we were. Maybe it was by pure coincidence, or maybe they had eyes all over the place. Reena agreed, whatever the reason, it helped us put some pieces together and got us all here now. She was right, now the only thing of concern is still Archaic. Bringing the subject back to him, Reena also said she couldn't have done so much without help from the other team members and someone from Ankastle. I picked up on this like I was supposed to ask her who. "Was it Jeven? or Perafiin?", two professors I actually liked back in my days, she told me no to both. "Lycra?", I guessed again to get a no as well. "Well then who?", I asked her.
