It was evening when we got back and Sander was waiting for us when we entered, and I ignored the complete fuck out of him because I don't have time to entertain Liza with her games. I walked right passed him for the elevator, noticing he was walking towards us I pressed the close button. Liza said to be nice, with an eye roll I told her to hush in a normal fun tone to show I wasn't being rude about it. We camped out in my room for a while discussing what to do next after the team gets together, ordered room service and I made Liza get the door. Once we finished eating, I told her I was going to call Reena and get her up to speed. I found a mirror in a drawer in the bathroom that had a silver handle and said Reena's name. Nothing happened for a minute and then she appeared in the mirror, I told her one sec and let go of it. It hovered in place as I placed my palms on both sides and threw it against the wall at the foot of the bed. Spreading my hands apart as it flew backwards causing it to stretch out, so the view was larger. Reena was standing there looking like she was waiting for us with everyone else in the shot. Phanta, Insight, Afterlife, and Whirlwind all waved back at the both of us as we did the same. Liza was a little jealous because they were in the magic world, and she wasn't. We got the majority "what's up" from everyone so we began our impromptu meeting. Everyone seemed convinced with Liza's theory about the Society being behind this and thought that stopping them was the right thing to do. They did ask about Jace, and Ana winced a little at the mention of his name, I told them that tomorrow is when we talk with him. The questions of Pawn came up and Reena said she hasn't gotten anything from him at all. He is very careful so nobody had to worry too much but if we can't find him then we all knew this would set back the plans. Either way we all agreed to stay on path and get to him when we are done with Jace since he's priority. Liza did ask about Archaic to check how the search was going and everyone said they felt like they were close. This is a good sign considering but finding him is about as equal as finding Pawn so, there was an understanding of "okay". There was discussion about after all this then we would meet up with them and go from there and that seemed unanimous. We took a second to ask about Josie's kids and make sure everything is secure for them and she told us they were safe and going to be fine. Some good news to hear with the upcoming pressure of fighting the worst team out there.

We actually all spoke for a while and by the time the call ended it was late. Liza and I agreed to be ready in the morning so we could get to the show a little early and scope out the place too. She left my room, and I watched her walk to hers not closing my door until she did hers. I locked up and launched myself onto the bed and thought how crazy it was for all of this to suddenly end up in front of me just by talking it out. It felt for a second like I was back at being a hero. There was also a little guilt of making Liza take her own room, we are definitely safer together, but I wanted to let her have privacy. Plus, I enchanted her room to protect her from anything other than me and to alert me if it showed up. She didn't know but when I had her room key since it was supposed to be mine, I put the spell on the key so once she used it the room was safe.

The next morning came, and I woke up all on my own, maybe from being anxious or just because my body told me so. Surprisingly I felt well rested too which is confusing, but sleep is sleep, I guess. I got ready to leave and walked out of my room with the minimal number of belongings. Really only just the clothes I've been spelling clean and walked down the hall to Liza's room. I knocked and she answered finishing drying her hair with light she was creating in her hand. It was like a hair straightener and a hair dryer all in one. I asked if she was good to go and she said she was, so we headed back down to the lobby. Liza too only had the same clothes, I was helping her with that too, like mine, and our suits come from our powers, so we were good there. The Hayley-bot was helping a family carry all of their luggage which was eight bags total like it weighed nothing. We headed around to the counter to return our room keys and Sander wore a face heavy with upset. I didn't bother to ask and just told him what we were there for since he didn't say anything. He took the keys back and put them to his side in a bin and then typed something in on his computer. It took a moment but then he said we were all good and that if we ever wanted to come back there would be a welcome waiting for us. The two of us thanked him and headed out the door smelling the breakfast from the ballroom.
