"I can't just sit here, even though I'm practically helpless I can still add to the fight", I put out there.
"That may be true, however, in digging into your life I also saw the vision you had, there's a reason you had it. You know as well as I do that high level mages, and beings, get visions just like the one you had. For you, I think there are two purposes, you were supposed to come here. I don't know why personally but your end goal is to fix Earthworld, it still needs you to be a hero", she told me.
"Now I'm confused because I didn't even plan on coming here, this was the last place I wanted to be. Yet, I got a vision later than when I should have gotten one since the council wanted to meet. All of this, and then getting the Legion together got me nowhere and yet Castor still sent me here. It's all starting to make no sense at all because I never saw Valsyri in my vision to begin with either. "Dusk interrupted my sudden break in ranting but we both realized that she was still watching the attacks.
"I just realized that at Castor's hideout, she mentioned someone helped her, I didn't want to talk about it with her. However, I saw some books sitting out since she was helping find Archaic behind the scenes, only they weren't related to that".
"What were they?", coming from Dusk letting us know she's still following but Embris' eyes were intrigued by what was being shared.
"The titles had things to do with The Mind of Mages, Intertwined Minds, and one about Magical Artifacts, but the last one was an article in a paper."
"What does this mean to you", this time Embris asked.
While trying to think, another alert signaled but Dusk went to check on it. Heading off to another spot in the room before calling back to tell us that attacks all over the city had started. "Alert each member of the guild, we need all hands for this, and when you're done, send word to the other masters. This is a Level 1 situation, the fate of Valsyri is at stake", Embris emphasized with urgency. After she said all this Dusk reemerged, and she took her position again in helping us see the issues around the realm. The images in front of us changed to different places like security footage. Ankastle was one of them and it was under attack, students fighting alongside the staff. Chunks of the school were destroyed and there was a wall crumbling as we watched. Capordio was one place I recognized, it's where the council wanted me to go with them. it looked like a bomb went off, buildings on fire and magic casting back and forth. This time we saw some creatures involved in the attacks, but they didn't look like your standard type. They're called Hell Titans, soulless beings that get crafted through black magic with a single purpose to kill its foe. A go-to for Hexwitches, I'm not surprised but they definitely leave destruction wherever they are. Several minutes of watching different attacks where multiple mages were losing their lives and the whole thing changed. Embris said she didn't recognize the next few places, but I did. Earthworld, being decimated by the villains, "this is my world" I told them with a grim tone. Watching dams burst and civilians getting attacked by villains, Ascension took down a squadron of jets and Gargoyle bested twenty men with guns ripping them apart. It looked as though the contract between the villains and the government was up. Smoke was everywhere as fires burned; hordes of people were trying to get out all barricaded at checkpoints. News reporters were cowering from debris and attacks on themselves. Embris' jaw dropped open at the horror, Dusk didn't have much to say either. I had just remembered I never answered Embris from earlier.
"Embris", I said, getting her attention, "it means that Castor knew I had to come back here, I didn't think it was important at first until having to think about it. The books all meant something, and it means that asshole knew something the whole time. She didn't mean he helped her with finding Archaic, but he must've told her he had the vision too. It now makes sense why the two of us never got the vision about the council in the first place. If I'm the only one that got it though, then, oh no, Royal sent me the vision, most likely what he could since he's a member of the council. They must not have wanted this to get out and had us shielded, and now I know why he kept giving me looks. He must've thought Castor told me everything, but then I reacted the way I did. It also explains why he was standing there in the arena and not standing with the council. Royal had no idea they were coming after me since he was attending the ARC event. In reality he was trying to speak to me to see if Reena had told me what they discussed, therefore he was trying to help! That would have been the exact moment he pieced together how I knew nothing about anything."
