The inside was amazing, the lobby was like a giant dining hall with several chandeliers lit up with candles. Trims around the inside were gold plated material and the windows were huge bringing in the light beautifully. A Fem-hop greeted us stating that she worked with Eromara and that she would be delighted to assist us with luggage and other things, only we didn't have any luggage. This was the first female bellhop I've ever seen but she seemed cool, they're androids that get these jobs because they pay well. They have the physical endurance to carry a lot at once and you'd be surprised how much shit people bring to hotels. She stated her name was Hayley and that we first needed to get checked in. Liza was still gawking at how amazing the place looked so I said "okay" and headed to the front desk. It was huge, almost high up like a bar counter and it had a lot of brochures and coupon books. As if anyone needed books to tell them what's around New York City but whatever. I went to ring the bell and a man's hand lashed at me stopping a few inches away with his fingers opened in the "stop" form. My hand froze a hair away from the top of the bell and I inched my eyes up to look the guy in the face. He looked back, clean shaven, sandy blond hair, styled, and I could smell all the cologne he put on. This slender fit man told me if I ring the bell I die, I looked at him with the biggest scowl. I didn't really believe him but at the same time with what's going on anything was possible. I drew back my hand and placed it on the counter still staring at the man, almost in a spiteful way. He began laughing and told me he was just kidding, I started laughing to mock him but that didn't seem to get through, so he kept laughing. I looked around thinking where the hell is Liza. The man had stopped laughing as I turned back to face him, and Liza just so happened to be on my left. I gave her a look to express me saying "really!?" without having to ask. She grinned at me and made a side eye to the man behind the desk. "Oh, there's two of you", he began.
"Yes, and we would like somewhere to sleep", I told him.
"Ah okay, give me one second, would you two require one room or two separate ones?"
Liza chimed in and said, "one!"
"Two please", I corrected her statement. She gave me a funny look while widening her eyes at me. I bobbed my head forward and shrugged my shoulder in a "what" attitude.
The man began to smile for some reason, "okay, I'll put you two in different rooms and ill process your room keys in just a moment.
"Thank you", I said back to him. Liza still on the fence about my choice but I shook my head at her. The man finished the keys a few minutes later and handed them each to us, I thanked him again and asked what his name was since I didn't see a name tag. He said his name was Mr. Williams, or I could call him Sander if I wanted to. I finished my appreciation with his first name and Liza asked me which room number I got. I asked why it mattered and she said she got room 66, which there isn't anything wrong with. She just stared at me, "do you want to switch?", I asked. Smiling with urgency there was a "yes please." I agreed to this and asked what the big deal is and Sander, who apparently was still listening to us, stated that our floor was the sixth floor. This sent Liza off, she started ranting about having a feeling something was weird about this. I shrugged really hard, looked at Sander and said my day just got better and walked off towards the elevator. He made it a point to tell me specifically if I needed anything to find him, Hayley can help my friend out.
Pushing the button for the door I shrugged off what he said. Liza caught up with me and had a weird grin starting to grow. I shrugged that off too and we stood there waiting for the doors to open. You could see where the compartment was with a dial at the top that showed a clock hand indicating the floor. Liza's face never let up and she began staring at me which only made me even more confused. "What", I asked her, and she shook her head at me implying, "not right now". My eyes rolled really hard because I didn't really understand but Liza has her quirks. The dial finally reached the lobby, and it dinged open welcoming us to enter. As I took a step forward, she darted in front of me in a hurry. Once she was in a knew I could enter as well.
