Chapter 21

Noah's POV

Dad told me to look after Emily today and not let her leave the house because today was Alex's wedding.

I tried really hard to stop Emily from going to Alex's wedding, she had been drinking since morning and crying.

I knew that she was madly in love with him but I also knew that he was not. He had been always formal in such things, he was with her because of our fathers has to do something with it. I once heard their conversation accidentally.

But how do I console her when I don't know whether to tell her that he never loved her or to lie to her that he will even after his marriage.

Dad and Mr. Reynolds are two major partners, and since I am involved in business dad told me that they needed this deal with Thompsons and so they have made a marriage arrangement.

So, the marriage is a business deal I get it and I told Emily the same, to calm her down a bit.

But after hearing me she threw her bottle on a wall and I knew the only way to keep her away was to get her sleep. I took her to her room and tucked her in and locked her door in case she woke up and wanted to go to the wedding while we were not here.

I didn't wanted to go to the wedding especially leaving Emily here in this state. But since dad insisted on me coming to the wedding as he says "You are to be the next in line for business, its now your duty to attend these gatherings and make as many acquaintances for the business."

"The fuck I give about business, when my sister is here crying and in mess because of your fucking business."

"Watch your mouth son." he shouted.

oh he is angry now. How ironic, where was his anger when his own daughter was shouting and drinking herself to death.

"You have to attend the wedding whether you like it or not."

He then left with that. The fuck.

I didn't wanted to be any part of this shitty wedding so I skipped the ceremony part but since I had to attend the reception I went there.

I was on my way to the venue and stopped at the signal when a small girl came to me with beautiful bouquet of blue orchids. I immediately smiled seeing the flowers and bought them from the girl. She was so happy.

I looked at the flowers and smiled remembering the girl who loved these flowers. The girl who was a pure angel, I never fell for anyone my whole life but after seeing her the first time all embarrassed and red because stupid Benjamin was making some joke that later became our thing, I knew I was gone for her.

I took the bouquet and entered the hall thinking "If anything I could give the poor wife in condolence for marrying Alex would be her favourite flowers. So that these flowers could bring smile on her face like they did on mine."

Little did I know that these flowers would bring a smile on her face because indeed they were her favourite flowers.

Seeing her standing there right beside Alex, my heart clenched and all colour drained from my face. This was definitely not what I expected.

There is no way she was his wife. FUCK!!

She doesn't deserve a bastard like him. She is pure while he is the most spoilt one. She can't be his. I will not let that happen.
