Alex's POV
Without a word, we both rose to our feet, an unspoken magnetic pull drawing us together. The room around us seemed to dissolve as we gravitated toward the center. The warm, candlelit ambiance created an intimate cocoon for just the two of us.
As our bodies entwined, I found her form, fitting perfectly against mine, as though we were two puzzle pieces discovering our rightful place. Holding her tightly, I wanted to savour her warmth, my hands resting on her waist while I gently guided her hands to my shoulders.
Guided by the soft music, we swayed gracefully, lost in the enchantment of the moment. My heart raced, her presence soothing the inner turmoil. Every movement felt natural and effortless as if we had danced together countless times. Her fragrance, a subtle blend of lavender and rain, had a calming effect on me, though I had never told her. She had become my addiction since the moment I first smelled her.
Our eyes locked, and in that silent exchange, I sensed she felt the magic too. She blushed and lowered her gaze to my neck. As the music reached its crescendo, I could no longer resist. With a tender touch, I tilted her chin upward, and our eyes communicated in an unspoken language. The world seemed to hold its breath as our lips finally met in a kiss that heralded the start of something beautiful and new.
In that timeless moment, I recognized that I had discovered something rare and precious. As we pulled away, our gaze remained locked, and a sense of wonder and optimism filled the air. It was a moment I knew would stay with me forever, the inception of a story that I couldn't wait to co-write with Sarah.
"Sarah, I genuinely like you, I think I've felt this way since the first time I saw you outside your university. You looked so natural and beautiful that I couldn't tear my eyes away. You gazed at your university building with such awe, and all I wanted was for you to look at me with the same admiration. When I saw you at the engagement dinner, I had never been more thankful for our fathers to have the arrangement."
She didn't say anything but her teary-eyed gaze remained locked on me. SHIT! Did I make a mistake? Was she not ready for that kiss?
Fuck! I promised I would never do anything she's not comfortable with, but I fucked up. I should have controlled my feeling.
"Fuck! Sarah I am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you or do anything you don't won't. Please forgive me."
She shook her head in disbelief, "You like me?" she asked, as if seeking confirmation while gazing deep into my eyes.
"More than anything, Sarah. You have no idea..." I began to express, but before I could finish my sentence, I felt her soft lips against mine.
Our lips remained still, unlike in typical kisses. We had simply locked our lips, breathing in each other's scents. This kiss was unlike any other I'd experienced before; it was profoundly intimate, even more so than deep, passionate kisses involving tongue. This kiss held a raw and pure emotion that surpassed any other kiss, except with one even that was not as intense as it.
FUCK!
I reluctantly broke the kiss, determined not to let intrusive thoughts mar our evening. I will not let her ruin what I have with Sarah. I refused to allow anyone or anything to overshadow what I had with Sarah. While I may not be in love with her, my mind and body were fully committed to my wife, Sarah.
She smiled, blushing a deep shade of red, from her neck to her cheeks. She looked like a candy cane with her white attire and flushed cheeks. And, I must admit, I had a soft spot and special liking for sweets.
She wasn't angry; she had kissed me back. I gazed at her, and her eyes reflected a smile and pure adoration.
"Let's go home."
