Lauren

I woke up the next morning to my phone ringing. I wasn't laying on top of Andrew anymore. In fact, I was in his bed alone and my phone was now on the charger. Slowly sitting up, I saw it was my mom that was calling. I called her back and she answered on the first ring.

Hi mom.

Hey, lovebug. Just checking in. I saw your text that you left and then came back late. Wanted to make sure you were alright.

I yawned.

Yeah, just waking up. I'm fine. I told you and dad I'm at Drew's.

Mm hmm. So, where did you go yesterday?

To Florida, mom.

I looked at the clock on Drew's wall. It was nearly 9am and I had Pilates at 10. Shit, I need to get up and get going.

Mom, can we talk later? I have Pilates in an hour then training at 2.

Alright. Are you coming home or are you going to hide out at Andrew's until you're ready to talk?

Mom...

We'll talk later. Love you.

Love you, too.

I got up and got ready for the day. I had to stop home to get ready for training and get my truck, but I'd be able to make Pilates. I went to the bathroom to get ready. I came back out to see a text from Ruby that Pilates was canceled today. As I was about to go in search of Andrew, he appeared shirtless with a plate of food.

"Morning, beautiful."

"Mmm, good morning handsome."

I looked him up and down. This man was too damn fine. He chuckled.

"Stop staring."

"I can't help it. You look so good."

"I just don't have a shirt on babe."

"Yeah, but with your man bun, abs, perfect beard..."

He laughed even more.

"Alright, alright. I get it. Here, I made you breakfast."

I saw french toast, eggs, and bacon on the plate.

"Mmm. Breakfast in bed?"

"Mm hmm."

"You're not eating?"

"Just brought you your food first. I'll be right back."

He set it down on the nightstand and I made myself comfortable in the bed. He sat his plate down before disappearing again and coming back with two trays. He set mine up before climbing in the bed next to me. We said grace and began eating in a comfortable silence.

"You sleep alright?" he asked.

"Always sleep like a baby with you."

"Glad to hear that. After breakfast, I'm going to drop you off at home. What time are you training today?"

"2pm. No pilates this morning, so I'll have time to unwind and get some emails answered before heading across town."

"You still doing 6 hours?"

"You know it."

"How about you have Al drive you and I pick you up."

I groaned.

"Andrew..."

"What?"

"I'll be done at 8pm and..."

"And I'd be happy to pick you up. We can have a late dinner and then if you want to go home, cool. If you want to stay here, fine by me."
