after 6 months at the academy, the 4 rookies are finally starting their job at the station. but are being trained by training officers.
" settle down, settle down. we got some need blood this morning, some pushing the expiration date. get up. " sergeant gray said to the 4 sitting front row. all four did as he said and stood up.
" after six months together in academy, you've earned the right to be here. but you'll have to prove yourself to stay. the way we do things matters. protocol and tradition are the metal, from which every cop in this city is forged. understand?" sergeant gray lectured, he got a answer from nolan while the other three nodded their head.
" okay now its time to play the training officer match game. our contestants are lucy chen, hotshot who made her first arrest before clocking in for work. legacy jackson west, who broke all his dad's records at the academy. john, nolan who was born before disco died. and last but not least another legacy valentina santos who also broke both west and her own dad's records at the academy. " sergeant gray introduced the four. he then announced what training officer got which rookie.
bradford got valentina, bishop got john, lopez got jackson and johnson got lucy.
valentina got their gear, then officer bradford had her check the whole car for anything wrong with it, scratches, dents or if the suspect left anything behind.
the two were just driving down the street of a neighborhood, not speaking until officer bradford asked a question.
" why do you want be a cop?" bradford asked her
" why you wanna know?" valentina asked him, he looked at her for a second then back at the road.
" you want me to train you, i need to know why you're in this car." tim told her, in her opinion that didnt make any sense whatsoever.
" i grew up around the LAPD and i've always loved it, so here i am." valentina kept her story short, her dad has told her about cops like bradford. they're gonna test you constantly.
which is exactly what he did. he acted as if he was shot to make sure valentina knew what street they were on. since they were sitting in silence in the car earlier, valentina had no choice but to pay attention to her surrondings.
she told him the street and he didnt look impressed at all. they stopped at a stop sign and a truck honked at them for driving to slow and it was about four men, who didnt speak any english.
thankfully valentina was forced to learn spanish with a spanish tutor, aswell as many other languages.
unforntauley bradford wanted her to translate racist comments towards them and she was not going to do that, so instead valentina had told them it is not okay to honk at a police officer.
