valentina clocked in for work, she was definitely irritated. taking care of a sick baby in the morning, dealing with both jackson and vinnie's attitude didn't help out.
she hurried up to get to roll call, not that she was late. she just wanted a few minutes of quiet time, but of course that gets interrupted.
" boot? what are you doing in here? roll call hasn't started yet." tim's loud voice, interrupted the quiet.
" i know. i just need a little bit of peace to myself." valentina said not looking at him. it was quiet for a minute until she heard tim's footsteps stop infront of her.
" what do you need peace and quiet for? if you haven't noticed, you're a police officer who deals with loud people all damn day." tim said, valentina rolled her eyes before looking up at him.
" don't you think i notice that? koa is sick, jackson and vinnie have attitudes because koa being sick woke them up extra early. i haven't had peace at all this morning. that's why i'm in here to get atleast two minutes of peace, so i'm not in a crappy mood." valentima explained to him, trying not to have a obvious attitude towards him.
tim said nothing more he went and sat in his seat, towards the back of the room. not to long after, everyone started piling in the room.
" today is problem day. so you know what that means." sergeant gray started, walking towards his podium.
" um no sir i don't." nolan interrupted.
" problem spots on your patrol route. locations that attract crime like a felonious magnet." sergeant explained to him, thankfully nolan asked because valentina didn't know what it was either.
" businesses used as a cover for criminal activity."
" no tell motels, massage parlors, dive bars."
" or anywhere that ex-cons gather to plan their next adventure." jackson, tim and angela all said. listing examples for them.
sergeant explained a little more before dismissing everyone. valentina put the gear bags in the car and then asked tim what the problem spot was, which his answer to that was ' you'll see when we get there.'
" so what'd you do this weekend?" valentina asked trying to make small talk.
